Is the opportunity to join a culture where “We Do the Right Thing,” and “We Courageously Shape Our Future Together” important to you? If so, Guardian is seeking a resolute motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Lead Financial Analyst.
Recognized as the Client Solutions & Wealth Management (CSWM) subject-matter expert in financial and business analytics, the Financial Analyst, Wealth Management sets the analytical agenda that turns Park Avenue Wealth Management (PAWM) and Guardian Wealth Partners (GWP) into decisions. Operating with mastery-level expertise and little day-to-day oversight, this role owns the margin, profitability, and performance insight that shapes how the business allocates capital, prices and serves clients, and invests in growth. This role provides recommendations and supports business cases directly to inform decisions made by CSWM and enterprise leaders, and it contributes to the functional strategy for how Finance partners with the business.
You will:
• Drive financial planning & analysis for the PAWM business — lead planning, forecasting, and the management-reporting P&L; surface the key drivers and trends; and own the critical view of PAWM channel economics — margin at channel, client, and producer level — translating it into insight that drives capital allocation, pricing, and growth decisions.
• Develop the business cases and ROI frameworks that govern enablement and investment decisions across distribution, channel, and expense (including Clearing & Execution) economics.
• Lead complex, high-visibility analytical initiatives with notable risk and cross-functional dependencies — defining the execution strategy, not just the analysis — such as net-flow and margin insight, distribution economics, and cost-to-serve.
• Build and own the financial models behind budgeting, forecasting, driver-based planning, and long-range planning for PAWM/GWP, setting the standard others build to.
• Convey and communicate complex findings to senior leaders — translating analysis into clear recommendations that support decision-making across Finance and the business, including through effective presentations.
• Act as advisor, mentor, and technical authority to colleagues at all levels, raising the analytical capability of the broader team.
• Contribute to the functional finance strategy for PAWM/GWP — shaping how the team industrializes data, embeds AI/automation, and shifts from reporting toward strategic partnership.
You are:
• Resourceful and relentlessly curious, you transform a conceptual analytical framework into tangible insight by understanding the relationships between data and the business rules and processes that produce it.
• Comfortable operating with minimal oversight in a complex environment, you independently locate, reconcile, and validate data, flagging and resolving issues before they become problems.
• A confident communicator who develops a deep understanding of complex topics and translates results for stakeholders in clear, non-technical terms, iterating with leadership and subject-matter experts to rationalize and refine the value of your analysis — and to persuade when the answer is not the expected one.
• A recognized expert others seek out — you anticipate where the business is heading and bring the analysis forward before the question is asked.
You have:
Required:
• 7+ years' experience developing and presenting financial and business analytics, including to senior leadership.
• 7+ years' experience analyzing financial statements and interpreting results, with mastery of the drivers behind them.
• Advanced experience with Excel and other data/analytics tools, comfort building repeatable processes over large, complex, multi-source datasets, and fluency in applying automation and AI to industrialize analysis.
Preferred:
• Experience with Wealth Management economics in a financial services or insurance arena.
• A track record of leading complex, cross-functional analytical initiatives with notable risk, and of influencing decisions beyond your own team.
• Experience working across multiple business areas and/or lines of business (e.g., sales, finance, life, disability, wealth/brokerage, distribution), and demonstrated knowledge of the concepts, processes, and datasets inherent to those environments.
• Experience partnering with multiple stakeholders in a fast driven environment.
