AMPECO is a fast-scaling EV charging management platform company, powering charge point operators and e-mobility service providers across Europe and beyond. As we expand our commercial footprint, deepen our regulatory exposure, and grow our partner and customer base globally, we are building a legal function that matches our ambition. About the role You will be a key member of AMPECO's legal function, working directly with the Head of Legal and cross-functional teams across commercial, product, engineering, and finance. This is a high-ownership role for a commercially-minded lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, international technology environment. What you’ll do Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements - SaaS agreements, licensing, data processing agreements, partnership and reseller agreements, MSAs and SOWs - across multiple jurisdictions; Provide legal support on data protection matters including GDPR compliance, cross-border data transfer mechanisms, DPIAs and vendor due diligence; Advise on emerging EU regulatory frameworks directly relevant to AMPECO's business: EU AI Act, EU Data Act, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, and AFIR (Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation); Support commercial transactions involving EV charging networks, CPO/MSP contractual structures, interoperability frameworks (OCPI, OCPP) and energy regulatory touchpoints; Work with external counsel across EU jurisdictions, manage legal matters in Jira, and contribute to continuous improvement of contract templates and internal legal processes; Assist on corporate and equity matters as required, including support to the US parent entity; Develop a working understanding of AMPECO's product, market, and revenue model deep enough to negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and deal economics, not just contract language; Act as a business partner to sales, product, and other commercial teams, shaping legal frameworks, contract templates, and risk positions that fit how AMPECO actually sells and operates, rather than applying generic legal standards. What we’re looking for Qualifications & Experience A masters degree in law is a must, whereas a (second) degree from a reputable UK or EU university will be considered a strong advantage; 5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience as in-house legal counsel or contract manager in a technology company or equivalent experience in an international law firm with substantial IT/tech law exposure; Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements including SaaS, technology licensing, DPAs and partnership agreements; Hands-on experience with GDPR and cross-border data transfer mechanisms (SCCs, US DPF, adequacy decisions), familiarity with Cyber Resilience Act, NIS2 and information security-related regulations, EU Data Act or EU AI Act will be considered a strong advantage; Confident user of AI tools and legal technology - you use them to work faster and better, not reluctantly; Experience working with contract lifecycle or legal matter management tools (Jira, CLM platforms) is an advantage; Professional working proficiency in English is essential. Who You Are A self-starter who takes ownership of matters end-to-end without waiting to be directed; Commercially minded - you understand that legal advice exists to enable the business, not slow it down; High attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize and move at pace; Strong legal drafting skills and confidence in negotiation with sophisticated counterparties; Easy-going cross-functional collaborator - equally comfortable with engineers, sales, finance and senior leadership; Resilient and intellectually curious in a fast-changing regulatory environment. What we offer • A seat at a fast-growing company on the path to becoming a global industry leader; • A team of highly experienced people who genuinely enjoy working together; • Flexible working hours; • A bonus day off for your birthday; • 5 additional vacation days per year after your first year with us; • Social events and team buildings worth showing up for; • Medical insurance with generous coverage - for you and your family; • Monthly shared-mobility allowance (Spark and GOeGO); • EV week - a company electric car for your personal use every 1-2 months. Our team at AMPECO is deeply committed to our mission and we're looking for like-minded individuals eager to give, learn and grow with us. If you're passionate about innovative technology and want to make a real impact in the e-mobility sector, we want to hear from you. Join AMPECO in building the future of EV charging! Our interview process is entirely remote. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
