At Experian, our Commercial Management Team plays a vital role in enabling business growth while ensuring legal and commercial risks are effectively managed. As Senior Legal Counsel, you'll be a trusted adviser to the business, leading negotiations on significant, high-value client contracts and helping shape how legal services are delivered through our innovative Legal-as-a-Product approach. You'll partner with senior partners to support strategic growth, transformation programs and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Work that matters - What you'll do
- Lead and manage complex, high-value commercial agreements for important clients and business opportunities.
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, driving transactions through to successful execution while balancing legal and commercial risk.
- Draft, review and negotiate technology, data, software licensing, services and framework agreements.
- Optimise contracting processes, templates and playbooks to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Support business transformation programs, including M&A integration activities and legal service development.
What you'll need to bring to the role and Experian
- Qualified Solicitor with solid post-qualification experience in commercial contract law.
- Experience independently managing complex commercial contracting programmes and negotiations.
- Experience leading large-scale contracts and supporting important clients and commercial relationships.
- Experience designing and implementing process improvements, governance frameworks and contracting systems that create operational excellence.
- Excellent commercial judgement, partner management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at senior levels.
