About the Role

Civica Law Group is looking for an experienced attorney in civil litigation and municipal law, and with an active California Bar license to join our team. The attorney in this position would be responsible for managing cases along with directing and supervising attorneys. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented legal professional eager to make a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do

• Be proficient in civil State and Federal Court processes, procedures, and filings.
• Conduct skilled legal research, analysis, and advising.
• Draft persuasive and effective, independent documents for court filings, from initial pleadings, discovery and discovery motions, dispositive motions, and trial filings.
• Coordinate with other attorneys and staff for efficient and timely case progress.
• Mentor and support junior attorneys and paralegals, providing guidance on complex matters, reinforcing best practices, and contributing to skill development and quality of work product.
• Provide clear, organized communication with firm legal team, clients, and opposing counsel.
• Effectively manage caseload and ensure team accountability to meet deadlines.
• Stay up to date on changes in law and legal procedures.
• Participate in the development and implementation of legal strategies.
• Attend necessary court hearings and other legal proceedings.

What We're Looking For

• Active California State Bar license in good standing
• 5-15 years’ experience as a civil litigator, municipal law preferred but not required.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail

Compensation: $150,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
