Position Title: Senior Local Health Grants Manager Salary: $95,000 (plus benefits) Position End Date: 6/30/2028 Location: Kentucky Department for Public Health (hybrid) About the CDC Foundation The CDC Foundation helps the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) save and improve lives by unleashing the power of collaboration between CDC, philanthropies, corporations, organizations, and individuals to protect the health, safety and security of America and the world. The CDC Foundation is the sole entity authorized by Congress to mobilize philanthropic partners and private-sector resources to support CDC’s critical health protection mission. Since 1995, the CDC Foundation has launched approximately 1,000 programs and raised over $740 million. The CDC Foundation managed over 300 CDC-led programs in the United States and in more than 130 countries last year. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or grant compliance. Demonstrated experience in federal grants management and compliance with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200). Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, or related discipline strongly preferred. Experience in governmental, nonprofit, or healthcare sector auditing is strongly preferred. Proven experience conducting Single Audits or serving as an auditee liaison preferred. Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with Rural Health Transformation (RHT)-participating local health departments (LHDs), serving as a primary point of contact to address questions, issues, and needs related to program allocations and contracts. Collaborate with the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky and the Rural Community Hubs team to develop and refine Hub processes, with a focus on local health department engagement and implementation. Monitor LHD program allocations, review monthly financial drawdowns and expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding requirements and allowability guidelines. Develop and implement workflows and processes to support effective monitoring and oversight of LHD activities. Partner with internal Content and Program Leads to develop comprehensive guidance documents, tools, and resources for local health departments. Collect, document, and share local health department success stories, program outcomes, and other performance metrics. Ensure timely and accurate reporting from local health departments, collaborating with the RHT Data and Evaluation Lead to support data collection, reporting, and evaluation needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Special Notes: This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and Kentucky Department for Public Health in order to best support the Kentucky Department for Public Health in their public health programming.
