Senior Management Accountant Apply Now! Founded in 2012, LADbible Group is redefining entertainment and news for a social generation. Our global community engages with our content–spanning editorial, video, documentary and live – we reach 1 billion people each and every month. Our mission is to give the youth generation a voice by building communities that laugh, think and act. Using all major platforms, we’ve rapidly risen to become one of the world's largest publishers. The opportunity We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across a growing global listed business. You will take ownership of key areas of the monthly close and management reporting cycle, working across multiple entities and divisions. You will turn financial results into meaningful insight, play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite, explore how AI can improve our processes and reporting, and, in time, recruit and develop an Assistant Management Accountant. This role would suit someone who enjoys owning the numbers, improving how things work and shows a genuine desire to improve how finance supports the business. What you will be doing Management reporting and insight · Own the monthly close. Lead the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts across the Group, including the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Ensure reporting is supported by clear commentary that helps stakeholders understand performance. · Protect revenue integrity. Take ownership of revenue accounting, ensuring revenue, accrued income and deferred revenue are recognised accurately, in the correct period and in accordance with IFRS 15. · Own key balance sheet areas. Prepare and review high-quality reconciliations across key balance sheet areas, including accruals, prepayments, accrued income and deferred revenue. Investigate issues and ensure reconciling items are resolved promptly. · Apply the right accounting treatment. Ensure revenue, cost of sales, overheads and balance sheet transactions are recorded accurately by entity and division, in line with Group policies and relevant accounting standards. · Bring the numbers together. Coordinate the production of divisional results, working with colleagues across Finance to deliver complete, consistent and insightful reporting for senior stakeholders. · Go beyond the numbers. Provide meaningful analysis of performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, explaining the key commercial drivers rather than simply reporting variances. · Influence better decisions. Turn complex financial information into clear, accessible commentary and practical recommendations for finance and non-finance stakeholders. Audit and controls · Help shape the control environment. Work closely with the Financial Controller to identify and deliver improvements to the Group’s financial controls as the business grows in scale and complexity. Ensure controls are well designed, consistently performed and supported by clear evidence of review. · Assist with audit delivery. Prepare high-quality year-end audit schedules, support the delivery of samples and work collaboratively to resolve queries. Systems projects and continuous improvement · Help deliver NetSuite. Play an active role in the implementation of NetSuite and its transition into business-as-usual operations, helping to ensure the new system supports accurate, efficient and scalable reporting. · Use AI to work smarter. Identify and introduce practical uses of AI that automate routine activity, improve the quality and speed of analysis and create more capacity for higher-value work, while maintaining appropriate controls. · Shape a scalable finance function. Challenge existing ways of working and lead improvements that simplify, standardise and automate reporting and month-end processes, supported by clear and effective documentation. · Contribute to priority projects. Play an active role in finance and cross-functional projects, bringing strong accounting knowledge, structured thinking and a practical approach to delivery. Leadership and collaboration · Develop future talent. As the team grows, mentor an Assistant Management Accountant, helping them build confidence, develop their technical skills and take greater ownership of their work. · Build relationships across the Group. Work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to understand performance and identify opportunities to improve results. · Adapt with the business. Adapt to the changing requirements of an increasingly complex and acquisitive international Group, taking the opportunity to broaden your experience and develop your role as the business evolves. · Lead by example. Take ownership, communicate openly, address problems proactively and contribute to a supportive, collaborative and high-performing finance culture. What we are looking for · Qualified accountant. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong management accounting experience and an interest in understanding the commercial story behind financial performance. · Strong foundations. A sound understanding of revenue recognition, balance sheet control and the accounting standards relevant to the role; experience applying IFRS 15 would be particularly valuable. · Analytical mindset. Able to connect financial results to operational and commercial drivers, spot unusual trends and communicate the implications clearly. · High standards. Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy, while able to prioritise effectively and deliver to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment. · Confident communicator. Comfortable building relationships, asking questions and explaining financial matters to a range of stakeholders. · Agile and adaptable. Comfortable working in an increasingly complex and acquisitive Group, with the flexibility to develop as the business grows and priorities evolve. · Improvement focused. Naturally looks for better ways of working and has the confidence to propose and implement practical solutions. · Strong systems capability. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to learn and make effective use of finance systems; NetSuite experience would be advantageous. · People potential. Previous experience coaching, reviewing or developing others is desirable, together with the motivation to build and lead a small team. Why join us This is an opportunity to make a visible impact within a growing global listed business. You will gain broad exposure across the Group, work closely with senior stakeholders and help shape the future of the finance function. Alongside owning core reporting and accounting responsibilities, you will gain hands-on experience of system transformations, explore new uses of AI and automation, contribute to projects and develop your leadership experience as the team grows.
