Opportunity: This is an exciting new opportunity at XR to join our team in the role of Senior Management Accountant based in our Shared Service Center in Budapest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering complex reconciliations and analyses, reviewing the work of juniors, and providing subject matter support in R2R activities, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls, providing audit support, and contributing to standardization initiatives. Job Responsibilities: Own complex reconciliations, prepare variance analysis, review work of Juniors and MAs, support audit, handle intercompany and fixed asset accounting, escalate issues to Team Lead. Own and deliver complex reconciliations and variance analyses Own execution of technical accounting areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), business combinations (ASC 805), consolidations (ASC 810), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), provisions (ASC 450), and FX remeasurement/translation Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos, position papers, and checklists to ensure compliance with corporate policy and US GAAP Review reconciliations and journals prepared by Juniors/MAs Mentor and train Junior Accountants Escalate complex issues to Team Leader Prepare advanced audit schedules and liaise with auditors Lead process improvement in initiatives in assigned areas Manage responsibilities for the United States and Canada 4–6 years in SSC/accounting Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance Strong experience with US GAAP CPA/ACCA progress a plus 3+ years of accounting experience in SSC or audit Fluent English; experience with North America entities is a plus Preferred Skills: Strong ERP and reconciliation tooling expertise BlackLine Excel advanced NetSuite preferred Solid understanding of US GAAP and controls In addition to other qualifications, the candidate must meet the following requirements: Highly organized Structured and process-oriented Attention to detail and consistency Positive, can-do attitude Problem solver Inspiring and energetic Effective communication at all levels Quick learner Strong relationship builder Flexibility to cover U.S. business during critical periods; XR has 23 offices worldwide and teams spread throughout the US, EMEA and APAC, our multicultural teams work cross-departmentally and across continents and cultures towards a shared goal It is our belief that the better we work together to help our clients achieve their goals, the more successful XR will be Feedback from internal Employee Engagement Surveys cites the People, Teamwork and Flexibility as the most rewarding aspects of working at XR We are a supportive and collaborative culture that values multiple perspectives, fresh thinking XR celebrates diversity of ideas, people and experiences Flexible work schedules and hybrid working arrangements create a rewarding work-life balance
