Job Description

The Senior Manager will be a key member of the Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) team in Vietnam. In this role, you will lead consulting engagements for Visa clients in Vietnam and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. You will partner with VCA, Business, and Technology teams across the organization to drive portfolio growth, strengthen client relationships, and improve profitability within clients' payments businesses.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Cultivate and deepen strategic relationships with Visa's clients and partners, including Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants, and FinTechs. Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients optimize performance and implement recommendations across customer lifecycle management, portfolio growth, and new product development and launches.
  • Work cross-functionally with Visa teams to deliver holistic solutions to clients, leveraging Visa's rich portfolio of Value-Added Services (VAS) across Marketing, Products, Risk, and Merchant Solutions.
  • Partner closely with Client Relationship Managers to identify opportunities, develop compelling client propositions, promote VCA solutions with external clients, and lead the execution and delivery of consulting engagements.
  • Drive growth and improve profitability across clients' payments businesses through portfolio management, strategic initiatives, and segment expansion.
  • Deliver consulting revenue through the effective deployment of Visa Consulting & Analytics service lines and practice areas.
  • Provide thought leadership and advisory services to clients on industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities within the payments ecosystem.
  • Support the IPVMC VCA leadership team in strategy development, business planning, reporting, and operational initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, helping to build consulting capabilities and foster a high-performance team culture.

Projects you will be part of:

  • Lead and contribute to strategically important consulting engagements for Visa clients across Vietnam and the wider market.
  • Work with a diverse range of clients, including card issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, and other emerging ecosystem players.
  • Support clients in identifying opportunities across the cardholder lifecycle, conducting gap assessments, developing growth strategies, and implementing best-practice recommendations.
  • Participate in and lead client pitches, bringing strategic thinking and structured problem-solving to develop compelling propositions that strengthen client relationships and win new business.
  • Bring data analytics solutions and propensity models developed by Visa's Data Science teams to life by helping clients apply insights to drive card activation, card usage, product launches, channel expansion, and business growth.
  • Provide thought leadership and advisory services to clients navigating evolving regulations, competitive dynamics, and changing market environments.
  • Support the Head of VCA IPVMC in strategic planning, business management, and operational initiatives.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:
We are looking to hire candidates that have already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payments industry, results-driven and client-centric. As a candidate you should have:

  • MBA or equivalent education, certifications and/or business background
  • In-market experience and/or knowledge of local language and culture as well as regulation and industry trends
  • 10+ years of experience in retail banking, card issuing or consulting to retail banks
  • Understanding of card issuers’ P&L and cardholder life cycle
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in the local payment landscape including Fintech
  • Storyboarding and data storytelling including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, modeling, scoring schemes, etc.
  • Strong organizational and business planning skills
  • Willingness to travel 30% within Vietnam

  • Experience in and passion for the power of analytics to inform and drive strategy and tactics, and proven ability to generate insights from data, make actionable recommendations, and tenacity to implement
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in working on business/value cases that prove ROI
  • Solutions-focused mindset.
