The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a leading Irish organisation that is making a significant investment in its Data & AI capability and is looking to appoint a Data & Analytics Manager to play a key leadership role within its growing Data team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Data, you’ll act as their deputy and take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a team spanning Data Engineering, BI, Reporting and Data Analytics.

This is primarily a leadership, delivery and stakeholder management role rather than a hands-on engineering position. You’ll need enough technical depth to work credibly with engineers and BI specialists, while being commercially focused and comfortable engaging with senior and executive-level stakeholders.

The organisation is currently developing a modern data platform using Microsoft Azure, alongside major initiatives across Data Quality, MI & Reporting and AI.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of the Data Strategy Roadmap, including:

• Leading and developing an eight-person Data & Analytics team
• Translating the Data Strategy into a clear, prioritised portfolio of projects
• Managing multiple concurrent data, BI and analytics workstreams
• Establishing an effective delivery rhythm across planning, prioritisation, reviews and reporting
• Managing senior stakeholders and balancing competing business priorities
• Providing clear portfolio and delivery updates to senior and executive stakeholders
• Managing risks, dependencies and relationships with internal teams, technology partners and third-party vendors
• Deputising for the Head of Data in governance forums and senior stakeholder meetings

Data, AI & Reporting

You’ll oversee delivery across three key areas:

Data Foundations & AI – supporting the continued development of the Microsoft Azure data platform and overseeing AI proof-of-concept and use-case delivery.

MI & Reporting – ensuring the reliable delivery of management information, dashboards, reporting and analytics to senior leadership.

Data Governance & Quality – driving data-quality remediation, establishing effective governance and embedding data ownership, lineage and quality controls across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

• Significant experience leading Data, Analytics or BI delivery
• Several years' experience managing and developing technical teams
• Strong senior stakeholder management skills, ideally including executive/C-suite engagement
• Proven delivery or programme management experience across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Strong understanding of modern data environments, including data models, ETL/ELT, cloud data platforms and BI
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure and/or Power BI or comparable technologies
• Good understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences
• A pragmatic, commercially focused approach with strong ownership of delivery

Nice to Have

Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be particularly valuable.

Exposure to AI/ML delivery, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server and Power BI would also be advantageous, as would experience working within a larger group or multi-entity organisation.

Working Model

This is a Dublin-based hybrid role, with regular office presence to lead the team and meet key stakeholders. Some occasional travel to other offices may be required.
