Senior Manager, Estimating & Contractor Services
Sales & Marketing (“SAM”) | Global Water Technology, Inc.
Executive Narrative: The Senior Manager, Estimating & Contractor Services is a technical sales support
and estimating professional responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and timely project
estimates that accelerate organic growth throughout Global Water Technology's (GWT) Water & Energy
Services platform. Serving as one of the organization's primary estimating resources, this position partners
closely with Business Development Managers, Water & Energy Services personnel, Equipment & Support
Services, Business Operations, and Field Operations to support contractor, plan/spec, retrofit, and capital
improvement opportunities across one or more regions.
As a member of the Sales & Marketing (SAM) Team, the Senior Manager plays a key role in executing and
continuously improving GWT's sales enablement strategy by utilizing, refining, and helping standardize
estimating processes, proposal development, technical documentation, project development resources,
CRM workflows, and other sales enablement tools that improve consistency, responsiveness,
professionalism, and scalability across the organization.
The Senior Manager serves as the central technical resource for assigned territories, coordinating the
estimating process from project discovery through proposal development, technical submittals, pricing
strategy, and project turnover. While Business Development Managers and other Water & Energy Services
personnel maintain ownership of client relationships and regional growth initiatives, the Senior Manager
provides the technical expertise, estimating support, and contractor coordination necessary to pursue
opportunities efficiently, accurately, and consistently throughout the organization.
In addition to supporting regional business development efforts, the Senior Manager may develop and
maintain strategic relationships with mechanical contractors, engineering firms, architects, equipment
manufacturers, and other construction partners to identify project opportunities, strengthen GWT's
presence within the construction marketplace, and improve bid visibility. These relationships may be
developed independently or in partnership with Business Development Managers and other Water &
Energy Services personnel, fostering collaboration while enhancing the responsiveness, technical quality,
and overall effectiveness of GWT's project development process.
Success in this role is measured by the quality, accuracy, responsiveness, and competitiveness of project
estimates, the ability to effectively support multiple regions simultaneously, and the consistent delivery
of technical expertise that empowers Business Development Managers and Water & Energy Services
personnel to convert project opportunities into long-term recurring client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

objectives.

develop complete and technically sound project solutions.
? Coordinate pricing, equipment selection, vendor quotations, freight considerations, and
project assumptions to ensure consistent estimating practices across the organization.
? Develop value-engineering alternatives and technical recommendations that improve
competitiveness while maintaining solution quality and project profitability.
? Maintain estimating templates, proposal standards, pricing resources, and technical
documentation that improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability throughout GWT.
Contractor & Engineering Relationships
? Develop and maintain strategic working relationships with mechanical contractors,
engineering firms, architects, consulting engineers, equipment manufacturers, and other
construction industry partners that support GWT's contractor services initiatives.
? Identify project opportunities through contractor and engineering relationships and
coordinate with the appropriate Business Development Manager to pursue opportunities
within assigned territories.
? Provide technical support and estimating expertise during contractor meetings, project
walkthroughs, bid reviews, and customer presentations when requested.

Development Managers, enabling timely, accurate, and competitive responses to project
opportunities.

expertise.

workflows, templates, technical documentation, and other sales enablement resources
developed by the Sales & Marketing (SAM) Team to deliver timely, professional, and
consistent project development support.
? Coordinate with Sales & Marketing, Equipment & Support Services (ESS), Water Safety,
Business Operations, and Field Operations to ensure project opportunities progress efficiently
from discovery through turnover.
? Assist in developing proposal strategies that maximize win rates while maintaining
profitability and alignment with GWT's long-term client relationship objectives.

expectations are clearly communicated and successfully transitioned to operations.
? Coordinate technical documentation, equipment information, startup requirements, and
project deliverables necessary for successful execution.
? Provide technical support throughout project implementation as needed to ensure continuity
between estimating, sales, and operations.
? Assist with resolving technical questions, scope clarifications, and project modifications
during the pre-construction and startup phases.

pricing consistency, technical documentation, and contractor support methodologies.
? Partner with the Sales & Marketing (SAM) Team to develop, maintain, and continuously
improve estimating processes, proposal standards, templates, technical documentation, CRM
workflows, contractor sales resources, and other sales enablement tools that improve
consistency, quality, and scalability throughout GWT.
? Maintain accurate project documentation, estimating records, CRM updates, and reporting
to support operational visibility and business performance.
? Participate in developing estimating standards, proposal templates, preferred vendor
relationships, and best practices that improve organizational efficiency and scalability.
? Provide feedback and recommendations based on field experience to continuously improve
GWT's proposal quality, estimating methodologies, project development resources,
contractor engagement processes, and overall client experience.
? Monitor project outcomes and estimating performance to identify trends, improve
forecasting accuracy and refine estimating methodologies.

? Represent GWT at trade shows, contractor associations, engineering organizations, and
industry events to strengthen relationships and expand market awareness.
? Support recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and technical development of future estimating
and contractor services personnel.
? Maintain professional and technical expertise through internal training, self-study,
manufacturer education, and industry development opportunities.
? Promote GWT's safety standards, operating philosophy, and commitment to exceptional
client experiences in every interaction.
Typical Qualifications:

industrial services, mechanical systems, or a related technical field.
? Demonstrated experience developing accurate project estimates, technical proposals, bid
packages, and construction documentation for commercial or industrial projects.
? Working knowledge of mechanical systems, water treatment equipment, construction
documents, project specifications, and plan/spec bidding processes.
? Experience collaborating with Business Development, Operations, Engineering, contractors, and
vendors to successfully develop and execute project opportunities.
? Strong organizational, analytical, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage
multiple concurrent opportunities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and responsiveness.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to
internal teams, contractors, engineers, and clients.
? Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, science, or a related
discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
? Certified Water Technologist (CWT) or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
