Elevate your career, perform when it counts: become part of our global financial consulting evolution!

Your role:

Zanders is a global firm in treasury and risk management. We advise corporates, financial institutions and public-sector organisations on the questions their CFOs and treasurers cannot afford to get wrong, and we build and sell software that puts that thinking into our clients' hands every day. Two things to market, then: expert advisory work and a software portfolio. Marketing them well means treating both as propositions with a defined audience, a clear value story and a route to market — not as a calendar of campaigns.

You lead the marketing function and a team of three to five, covering the Events, Digital and Content pillars. You own the proposition and positioning work: which offerings we take to which buyers, what we say about them, how we price the story, and how the whole portfolio hangs together. You will spend as much time with the business-line leaders and the Solutions product teams as with your own team, because the raw material for all of it sits with them. You report into the leadership team and have a direct line into how the firm packages and sells what it does.

This is a build role as much as a run role. The marketing engine works — events, digital and content all deliver — and your job is to put a product marketing discipline on top of it: proposition definition, launch planning, competitive positioning, enablement for the people who sell. You will need to bring that discipline with you; it is not yet embedded here.

Your background will combine product marketing with professional services, SaaS or B2B technology — you have done this in an organisation that sells both expertise and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the marketing strategy for the firm and translate it into a plan the Events, Digital and Content pillars can execute against

  • Lead, develop and grow a marketing team of three to five, setting priorities, safeguarding workload and building capability in product marketing

  • Own positioning and messaging across the portfolio — advisory propositions and software — including the ideal customer profile, value proposition and competitive narrative for each

  • Lead go-to-market planning for new propositions, product releases and market expansion, from launch plan through to sales enablement

  • Work with the Solutions product teams and business-line leaders to turn product roadmaps and practice strategies into market-facing propositions

  • Advise the leadership team and the business lines on where marketing investment will pay back, using pipeline, campaign and channel data

  • Own the marketing budget, agency and vendor relationships, and the marketing technology stack

  • Define how marketing performance is measured and reported, and hold the function to it

  • Build the enablement material the consultants and sales team need — narratives, battlecards, proposition one-pagers, case material

  • Set standards, frameworks and ways of working for the function, and embed AI tooling where it scales output rather than replaces judgement

  • Represent marketing credibly with partners and senior stakeholders, and coach the team to do the same in their own domains

  • Build a connected, inclusive marketing team across the offices, and contribute to firm-wide initiatives beyond the function

Skills to be successful

Essential

  • Substantial product marketing experience — positioning, proposition definition, go-to-market and launch — gained in professional services, SaaS or B2B technology

  • A track record of leading a marketing team, including developing people and holding a function to measurable outcomes

  • Experience introducing a discipline or way of working that did not exist before, and getting an organisation to adopt it

  • Credibility with senior commercial stakeholders — partners, product leaders, business-line heads — and the ability to influence without formal authority over them

  • Fluency with marketing performance data, and the judgement to use it to direct investment rather than to justify it after the fact

  • Excellent written and spoken English, and the editorial judgement to make specialist subject matter land commercially

Also valuable

  • Exposure to treasury, risk management or financial services

  • Experience marketing a mixed portfolio of services and software

  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform

  • Having worked across multiple countries and languages

  • Experience with pricing and packaging decisions alongside product management

  • An additional European language

We offer:

  • Hybrid work setup: Enjoy flexibility with a balanced in-office and remote working model.

  • Home office support: Receive an allowance to set up your home office ergonomically.

  • Zanders Bonus Scheme: Be part of our success with an attractive bonus structure.

  • Wellness and time off: Secure your future with a pension plan, sufficient holidays, and a supportive work-life balance.

  • Top-notch tools: We provide a high-performance laptop and iPhone.

  • Engaging culture: Join an inclusive, collaborative team that celebrates diversity. Enjoy cultural events, an annual surprise trip to a European destination, and plenty of fun experiences!
