Position Summary The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Marketing Planning & Operations to drive operational excellence across the Brand & Digital Growth team. This role serves as the strategic planning and operations partner to marketing leadership, ensuring priorities are translated into actionable plans, cross-functional initiatives are executed successfully, and marketing performance is measured against organizational goals. As the operational backbone of the marketing organization, you will oversee integrated marketing planning, program management, operational processes, reporting, and performance visibility. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve collaboration, optimize workflows, and enable marketing initiatives that strengthen member engagement and advance the IIA's global mission. Work Arrangement This is a hybrid position based in Lake Mary, Florida , combining in-office collaboration with remote work. What You'll Do Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning, translating strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps with clear milestones, timelines, and success metrics. Manage the integrated marketing calendar, ensuring alignment across campaigns, digital marketing, communications, events, content, and member programs. Lead cross-functional marketing initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with organizational priorities. Develop and optimize marketing operations, workflows, governance, documentation, and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability. Monitor project risks, dependencies, budgets, and resource allocation while providing proactive recommendations to leadership. Build and maintain marketing dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive-level performance updates that provide visibility into campaign effectiveness and organizational goals. Facilitate planning meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications to drive accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the marketing organization. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, marketing planning, program management, project management, or related disciplines. Proven success leading complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives from planning through execution. Strong understanding of integrated marketing planning, campaign management, marketing operations, and performance reporting. Experience working with marketing technology platforms, project management tools, dashboards, and reporting solutions. Exceptional organizational, analytical, project management, and prioritization skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leaders. Experience developing operational processes, governance frameworks, and performance metrics that improve team effectiveness. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a membership association, nonprofit, professional services organization, or mission-driven global brand. Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar tools. Knowledge of marketing analytics, CRM platforms, marketing automation, and business intelligence reporting. Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns across digital, events, communications, and content marketing.
