Show job description

If you know heavy equipment, understand how large contractors and aggregate producers operate, and believe good business starts with doing what you say you’re going to do, Purple Wave wants to hear from you.

We’re looking for an experienced sales professional to be our Senior Manager of Enterprise Accounts - National Construction and Aggregates to grow our relationships with national construction companies and aggregate producers. These customers manage equipment across multiple locations, divisions, and major projects. They need someone who understands their business, earns the trust of their decision-makers, and follows through from the first conversation to the final sale.

If you enjoy pursuing substantial opportunities, working through complex deals, and being on the road with customers, come help us grow Purple Wave’s national construction and aggregates business.

The Senior Manager of Enterprise Accounts - National Construction and Aggregates is tasked with developing new business and expanding established accounts, helping customers plan and execute equipment sales through Purple Wave’s no-reserve online auctions. The ideal candidate should be as comfortable discussing a fleet replacement plan with a corporate equipment director as walking a jobsite or quarry with the people who run the equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account plans to win new national customers, grow existing relationships, and meet revenue and business development goals.
  • Build relationships with corporate leaders, equipment and fleet managers, purchasing teams, and regional and site personnel across assigned accounts.
  • Understand each customer’s equipment replacement cycles, project schedules, purchasing processes, and requirements for selling used equipment. Identify opportunities across their divisions and locations.
  • Help customers plan equipment sales, including routine fleet rotation, project closeouts, and large equipment packages. Work with internal resources to provide informed guidance on market conditions, estimated values, and sale timing.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines, and coordinate required approvals and agreements.
  • Coordinate with Territory Sales Managers, Auction Coordinators, Field Operations, and other Purple Wave teams to execute sales across multiple locations and maintain a consistent customer experience.
  • Support all phases of the auction process, from identifying assets and coordinating inspections and documentation through marketing, sale, and settlement. Take ownership of customer concerns and see them through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, account plans, opportunities, and sales forecasts in CRM. Keep leadership and supporting teams informed of commitments, progress, and issues.
  • Promote auction inventory and equipment packages, respond promptly to inquiries, and support buyer and seller relationships.
  • Represent Purple Wave at customer meetings, jobsites, quarries, trade shows, and industry events. Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities.
  • Manage travel and account expenses responsibly, maintain high ethical standards, and undertake additional assigned duties as requested.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant industry experience is highly valued.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of relevant sales experience in heavy equipment, auctions, construction, aggregates, or a closely related industry, including at least five (5) years managing large, national accounts.
  • Proven ability to develop new business, expand existing accounts, and manage sales involving multiple decision-makers and longer sales cycles.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction and aggregate equipment and the operational demands of contractors and aggregate producers. Experience with fleet management, maintenance, equipment valuation, or asset disposition is preferred.
  • Ability to earn credibility with senior leaders and field personnel, present proposals clearly, negotiate effectively, and coordinate work across departments.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple accounts, competing deadlines, and complex equipment sales with careful attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office or comparable applications, and tools used to gather and share information electronically.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with a strong commitment to customer service and ethical business practices.
  • Ability to travel nationwide up to 75% of the time, with the majority of trips requiring overnight stays.
  • Spanish speaking bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
