Overview

At Brooklinen, we make things people live with every day: the sheets they sleep in, the towels they reach for every morning. As our Senior Manager, Quality & Compliance, you’ll help ensure our products meet the standards our customers count on. Reporting to our VP of Product Development, Production & Quality, you’ll lead quality and compliance throughout the product lifecycle, overseeing testing, inspections, certifications, supplier audits, and product safety.

We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about product quality and enjoys turning complex questions into clear, practical decisions. You’ll manage one Quality & Compliance Specialist and work closely with Product Development, Production, Procurement, and our suppliers around the world. You’ll build on an established program, strengthen how we work, and help us prepare for evolving requirements as the business grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the team and quality program. Manage and coach a Quality & Compliance Specialist. Refine our processes and metrics to help the team work efficiently and maintain high standards as we grow.

  • Own testing and inspections. Oversee third-party lab testing, pre-shipment inspections, and in-house testing. Set standards for new fabrics and product categories, and evaluate testing and inspection partners, protocols, equipment, and costs to ensure they meet our needs.

  • Help our suppliers meet our standards. Guide new suppliers through onboarding, oversee audits, and validate certification and traceability documentation. Partner with Procurement on supplier vetting and social compliance.

  • Keep our products compliant and certified. Manage product safety, textile labeling, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) tracking and deadlines, and certifications such as OEKO-TEX. Stay informed about changing requirements, turn them into practical next steps, and partner with Product Development on new certification claims.

  • Turn quality insights into action. Use defect, return, and inspection data to address recurring issues with suppliers and Production. Help teams assess quality concerns, understand the risks and business impact, and agree on next steps. Build quality checks into product development and launches, and share quarterly results with leadership.

We’re Looking For

  • Experience in textile quality. 5+ years in quality or compliance, including hands-on work with textiles, third-party testing labs, and inspection agencies. Experience in bedding, bath, or other soft home goods is a plus.

  • Strong supplier partnerships. Experience working with international suppliers on audits, traceability documentation, and corrective action plans.

  • Thoughtful people leadership. Experience managing and coaching direct reports, helping them build skills and confidence in their work.

  • An understanding of the product lifecycle. Familiarity with how products move from R&D and Product Development through Production and Procurement.

  • Knowledge of product safety and compliance. Working knowledge of CPSC requirements, textile labeling, and product certifications. Familiarity with EPR and emerging environmental compliance requirements is important; direct experience managing EPR programs is a plus.

  • An analytical approach. Strong Excel skills and the ability to turn quality data into clear recommendations and next steps.

  • Clear communication and practical judgment. You can explain risks and tradeoffs, build strong working relationships, and adapt as priorities shift while maintaining product safety and compliance standards.

Benefits & Perks

  • Up to 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage (employee-only)

  • Fertility & family-building support (up to $20,000 lifetime)

  • 401(k) with a 4% company match

  • 16 weeks fully paid parental leave

  • 20 vacation days (25 after 5 years) plus year-round Summer Fridays

  • Hybrid work schedule with two core in-office days (Tues–Thurs)

  • Remote Thanksgiving week and remote last week of December

  • Up to four additional remote weeks per year with approval

  • 40% employee discount plus seasonal product allowance

  • One Medical, Talkspace, and $1,000 per year via Joon for wellness

  • One-month paid sabbatical at five years and an additional one-month paid sabbatical at 10 years
