Role overview FRP Advisory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager/Director of Restructuring Advisory for our expanding Teesside office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate restructuring advisory services, with extensive experience in a professional services environment. The focus of the role is formal corporate restructuring appointments, contingency planning engagements and options analysis. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing restructuring assignments and providing exceptional client service. The candidate will need to be a confident report writer and team manager focussed on case progression and maximising the outcome for stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Restructuring Advisory Services: Lead and manage restructuring assignments from inception to completion, specifically focussing on CVLs, Administrations, MVLs, Corporate Simplification and CVAs including advisory assignments Build and sustain excellent relationships with clients, establishing both a rapport and trust and assume ownership of client relationships Be a first point of client contact Dealing with formal assignments from pre-appointment advice to delivering the formal restructuring process with the case management team Experience of delivering mid-market assignments, with ability to quickly understand complex group structures and situations, prioritising key issues and delivering insightful analysis and recommendations Oversee case reviews and report writing for partner review Review work of junior team members in conjunction with manager/senior manager review (where relevant) and providing guidance and close supervision in more complex areas or where team is less experienced Develop and present strategic recommendations to clients Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction Take a lead in business development to enhance FRP’s profile in restructuring advisory matters Advise clients on restructuring options including corporate simplification Develop innovative solutions to complex financial and structural challenges Involvement in FRP’s client service program Actively cultivate a wide network of professionals and corporates from which to generate leads and client work Act as a representative of the firm and department at events Track record of work winning preferred but not essential Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the restructuring advisory team in Teesside Collaborate with other FRP pillars and offices to leverage expertise and resources Ensure compliance with local and international regulations JIEB.CII qualified Minimum of 8 years of experience in restructuring advisory ACA/ACCA qualified is preferential, but not a requirement Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with a proactive approach Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of integrity and professionalism Ability to build and maintain strong relationships Adaptable and resilient in the face of challenges Excellent organisational and time management skills Aligned to FRP’s values Our Values Straightforward : We provide clear, no-nonsense advice Confident : Our guidance is backed by expertise and evidence Pragmatic : We focus on practical solutions and tangible outcomes Real : We are professional yet approachable, understanding the challenges our clients face Our Commitment to You and the Environment At FRP Advisory Group, sustainability is integral to our strategy and operations.
