Senior Marketing Manager

Taffy Event Strategies, a leading trade show management company, has an immediate opening for a Sr Marketing Manager to join its team. The individual is charged with spearheading, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive event marketing plans to meet and exceed client expectations while staying within budget.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and execute integrated attendee marketing plans for assigned events, spanning email, web, digital advertising, publications, and print
• Lead full-funnel registration campaigns: new attendee acquisition, early-bird conversion, and retention campaigns
• Own the email marketing process from start to finish – writing copy, designing templates, building and managing segmented lists, executing sends, and analyzing results
• Write compelling marketing copy for websites and other marketing collateral, optimized for both search engines and AI-driven answer engines
• Build and manage attendee segmentation and audience strategy across email, digital advertising, and other channels
• Collaborate with partners to execute digital campaigns
• Analyze registration and campaign performance (open rates, conversion, cost per registrant, retention rate) and adjust strategy accordingly
• Present marketing plans and results to internal stakeholders and client leadership
• Maintain brand and voice consistency across all event touchpoints

B.S. or B.A. in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, and 5-8 years of major trade show/large event marketing experience required. Strong writing, organizational, database management, and communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Team player and creative problem-solver capable of managing complex timelines and projects requiring input from multiple sources. A self-starter who tests new ideas, takes calculated risks, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo to grow the event.

Experience with basic HTML (WordPress), design tools (Canva), and email marketing/database platforms (HubSpot) preferred. Experience using AI tools to improve marketing performance (such as audience segmentation, content creation, or campaign optimization) is also preferred.

Taffy Event Strategies is located in Arlington, Virginia. This role is remote, though preference will be given to candidates based in the DC area.
