At Intrepid Travel we exist to inspire, create, share and lead the best travel experiences ever – for both people and the planet. We've been creating positive change through the joy of travel since 1989, and we’re proud to be a certified B Corp with 1000s of experiences in over 100 countries.

As the world's largest adventure travel company and a certified B Corp, we're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Marketing Manager to lead our marketing across Aotearoa. Reporting to the NZ Country Manager and working closely with ANZ and global marketing teams, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer growth and revenue across direct, tailor-made and industry channels. As the local marketing expert, you'll bring deep market knowledge, identify emerging opportunities and ensure the voice of New Zealand is represented across the wider business.

This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the centre of our marketing ecosystem. You'll lead the planning and execution of through-the-line campaigns, partnerships, PR initiatives and communications, working with specialists across digital, SEO, lifecycle, social, creative and commercial functions to maximise performance and ROI. You'll manage budgets, track campaign effectiveness, translate data into actionable insights, and continuously improve how marketing is delivered. You'll also play an important leadership role, supporting and developing senior marketers in the NZ team while acting as a brand guardian across all communications and customer touchpoints.

We're looking for a senior marketer with 10+ years' experience, strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to deliver high-impact brand and partnership campaigns. You'll bring a deep understanding of the New Zealand travel market, exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-led environment. This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Auckland office, with hybrid working (3 days in office).

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

  • 10+ years senior marketing experience with 5+ years experience managing a senior marketing team

  • Knowledge of Aotearoa inbound and outbound, particularly seasonality, key destinations and the domestic travel market

  • Experience developing and executing brand and partnership marketing and PR campaigns and developing partnerships with tourism boards and external brands.

  • Effective communicator who is skilled at building relationships and working cross-functionally from a departmental and global lens

  • Experience in data research and analysis and turning into actionable insights and strong reporting skills

  • Experience managing a budget and delivering ROI
