About the Role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Odoo Developer to lead the architecture, customization, and deployment of our enterprise ERP solutions. In this role, you will design custom Odoo modules, streamline core business workflows (Accounting, Sales, Inventory, HR, and SCM), and integrate third-party APIs into resilient enterprise environments.

You will work closely with executive stakeholders, system architects, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance business applications that directly drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Module Design & Customization: Develop, maintain, and customize advanced Odoo modules (Community & Enterprise editions) to align with business logic and operational requirements.
• System Integration: Build and consume robust RESTful/XML-RPC APIs to seamlessly integrate Odoo with external systems, third-party payment gateways, logistics engines, and e-commerce platforms.
• Database Optimization: Design, configure, and optimize PostgreSQL databases, query performance, and indexing to ensure data integrity and high availability.
• Migration & Upgrades: Plan and execute seamless data and version migrations across major Odoo releases with zero data loss and minimal downtime.
• Workflow Automation: Automate standard operational workflows across Accounting, Inventory, CRM, Sales, Point of Sale (POS), and Supply Chain modules.
• Code Quality & Testing: Write clean, modular, and maintainable code adhering to PEP 8 standards; conduct unit testing, code reviews, and performance profiling.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 3–6+ years of hands-on software development experience with at least 2–4 years dedicated specifically to Odoo ERP development.
• Core Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, XML, and QWeb templating.
• Database Mastery: Deep working knowledge of PostgreSQL, schema design, ORM, and complex SQL query tuning.
• Architecture & Standards: Comprehensive understanding of the Odoo framework (MVC design patterns, ORM architecture, web widgets, and security record rules).
• Version Control & DevOps: Practical experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab, Docker, and deploying Odoo on Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) environments.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical specifications.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience developing and deploying custom Odoo OWL (Odoo Web Library) components.
• Prior experience integrating Odoo with local regional systems (e.g., ZATCA e-invoicing compliance for KSA, Egyptian Tax Authority ETA e-invoicing).
• Background in customizing Accounting, Logistics, or Customs Clearance workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
