Senior Mobile Developer (React Native & React)

The client is seeking a driven and self-motivated Senior Mobile Engineer who is focused on building and delivering high-quality native app experiences (iOS/Android). You will work with a growing team to build a seamless user experience for their native app. Ideally, you have experience working with early stage startups and have worked with the React Native Framework. Location : 100% Remote. Working hours are based on the between Central Time and Eastern Time US Time Zone. Responsibilities Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native. Work closely with the rest of our engineering team to connect with our API Communicate effectively with the executive team internally, as well as apply a consultative approach externally with clients and/or strategic partners Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across various devices. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. Leverage data to inform decisions and define metrics to measure the success of new features Have a passion for coding and getting your hands dirty Requirements 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years working specifically with React Native. Proficiency in React Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React Native framework. Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX . Solid understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a small, remote team environment. Experience utilizing AI, i.e. Claude, and an eagerness to continue incorporating AI Willingness to start part-time and grow towards full-time hours Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering , Computer Science or related area. Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Firebase, etc.). Familiarity with GraphQL and TypeScript. Contributions to open-source projects or a personal portfolio showcasing your work.
