Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Our team has previous experience at Coinbase, Google, Amazon, Meta, Citadel and other top companies We're a world-class team with top backers and advisors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Polychain Capital, Brian Armstrong, Fred Ehrsam, Naval Ravikant, Elad Gil and more RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and enhance the dYdX mobile application using React Native Own end-to-end mobile features from architecture and implementation through testing, release, and ongoing maintenance Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive and performant mobile experiences Help define the technical direction and architecture of our mobile platform Improve application performance, reliability, observability, and developer experience Work with technologies that directly interface with blockchain networks, wallets, and decentralized protocols Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class trading experiences on mobile REQUIREMENTS: You have demonstrated technical excellence through previous work and shipped high-quality mobile applications at scale Strong experience building and maintaining production React Native applications Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, state management, networking, performance optimization, and testing Experience publishing and supporting applications on both iOS and Android platforms Strong product sense and attention to user experience details You are a fast learner who can quickly master new technologies and complex systems 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building mobile applications Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers in fast-paced environments NICE TO HAVES: Experience building financial, trading, fintech, or security-sensitive applications Experience with native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin) development Experience with React Query, Redux, Zustand, or similar state management solutions Experience building highly performant real-time applications Experience working with crypto wallets, blockchain technologies, or DeFi products Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and mobile release processes Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction CS degree or equivalent practical experience Salary range for this role is $210K to $270K (NY). Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentive.
