Remote | Consumer Android Apps & Games
Compensation: $6,000–$8,000/month + meaningful profit-based performance bonus
Commitment: approximately 50–70 hours/month
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Growth & Monetization Manager to help us scale a portfolio of consumer Android apps and games monetized through a combination of subscriptions and advertising.
This is not simply a Google Ads management role.
We are looking for someone who understands the complete economics of a mobile app — from user acquisition and retention through to advertising revenue, subscription conversion, renewals, LTV, CAC, payback period and ultimately contribution profit.
We already have apps generating meaningful revenue and are prepared to invest significantly in paid acquisition where the economics justify it.
Your role will be to determine where we should deploy more capital, where we should reduce spend, and what product or monetization changes will increase profitability.
Responsibilities
- Own growth and monetization strategy across multiple Android apps and games
- Analyse acquisition performance by campaign, country and user cohort
- Manage and optimize Google App Campaigns / UAC
- Calculate and monitor CPI, CAC, ROAS, LTV and payback periods
- Build D30 / D60 / D90 cohort profitability models
- Determine incremental profitability rather than relying only on blended revenue
- Analyse D1, D7 and D30 retention and identify opportunities to improve it
- Optimize subscription funnels: install → trial → paid → renewal
- Improve onboarding, paywalls, pricing, trial structures and subscription conversion
- Analyse subscriber churn, cancellations, refunds and renewal survival
- Optimize AdMob monetization, ARPDAU, eCPM, ad formats, mediation and placement
- Balance monetization against retention, user experience and policy risk
- Establish maximum profitable CPI/CAC by country and campaign
- Identify which geographies and campaigns deserve additional budget
- Run structured A/B tests and monetization experiments
- Produce clear weekly reporting showing where we should increase, reduce or stop spending
- Allocate acquisition budget across the app portfolio based on expected profitability
- Develop and execute a strategy to materially increase portfolio contribution profit
Experience We Are Looking For
We want someone with substantial hands-on experience growing consumer mobile apps or games, ideally products monetized through both subscriptions and advertising.
You should be highly comfortable with:
Google App Campaigns, Google Ads, AdMob, Firebase / GA4, Google Play Console, RevenueCat or similar subscription platforms, AppsFlyer / Adjust, attribution, cohort analysis, LTV modelling, subscription monetization, paywalls and A/B testing.
Experience with BigQuery, SQL or advanced mobile analytics is a strong advantage.
Most importantly, you should have personally helped scale paid mobile acquisition while maintaining or increasing profitability.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have managed monthly user-acquisition budgets in the tens of thousands of dollars or more and can demonstrate the commercial results they achieved.
Your current ad already sets that expectation well.
What Success Looks Like
We do not measure success by installs, spend or top-line revenue alone.
Success means profitable growth.
We want to be able to answer questions such as:
We acquire this user for $X.
The user generates $Y in advertising and subscription contribution over 30/60/90 days.
Therefore, we can safely increase this campaign to $Z of monthly spend while maintaining our required margin.
The successful candidate should be able to tell us exactly:
where additional capital should be deployed, how much can be deployed profitably, and where spending should be stopped.
Compensation & Performance Bonus
The initial monthly retainer is:
$6,000–$8,000 per month
for approximately:
50–70 hours per month
depending on experience and track record.
In addition to the monthly retainer, the role includes a meaningful performance bonus linked directly to incremental contribution profit generated above an agreed baseline.
The bonus will reward profit growth, not simply increases in revenue, installs or advertising
spend.
There is therefore significant upside for someone who can materially increase the profitability of the portfolio.
The exact bonus methodology will be agreed with the successful candidate.
Initial Engagement
We intend to begin with a paid 30–90 day trial engagement.
During this period, we expect you to:
- analyse the existing app portfolio and underlying unit economics
- establish reliable cohort LTV and CAC measurement
- identify the highest-potential apps, countries and campaigns
- identify monetization and retention improvements
- run initial acquisition and monetization experiments
- provide a clear plan for scaling portfolio contribution profit
If the engagement is successful, there is scope to increase the hours, compensation and
responsibility.
Location
Fully remote.
We are particularly interested in experienced candidates based in:
UK, Israel, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, and wider Europe
Although exceptional candidates elsewhere are welcome to apply.
To Apply
Please provide:
- A short summary of your mobile growth and monetization experience
- Examples of apps or games you have personally worked on
- The largest monthly acquisition budget you have personally managed
- Examples of products or campaigns you have scaled profitably
- Your experience with subscription monetization
- Your experience with AdMob / ad monetization
- The analytics and attribution tools you use regularly
- Your availability
- Your expected monthly or hourly rate
You will also be asked to complete three short screening questions requiring specific metrics and examples from your previous work.
Candidates whose experience is primarily general digital marketing, e-commerce, or website marketing, without significant hands-on mobile-app growth experience, are unlikely to be a fit.
