Senior Mobile Software Engineer

About the Role

Join the mobile engineering team at a Series A fintech company building financial tools for immigrant communities in the United States. As the senior mobile engineer, you will take ownership of the mobile experience and help shape customer-facing products used in everyday financial tasks.

What You'll Do

• Own mobile engineering work and establish patterns, tooling, and processes that support reliable, high-quality releases.

• Build and ship customer-facing features in React Native for iOS and Android, partnering with product, design, and backend teams.

• Translate designs into polished interfaces with thoughtful animations, gestures, and interactions.

• Guide technical decisions, communicate tradeoffs to non-engineering partners, and manage cross-functional stakeholders.

• Iterate on features based on customer needs, considering usability across loading, error, accessibility, and other interface states.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including 3 or more years shipping React Native applications in production.

• Recent hands-on React Native experience building consumer mobile products at a startup or high-growth company.

• Experience owning features end to end, from design collaboration through release and iteration.

• Strong skills in React Native architecture, reusable components, design systems, state management, performance, and testing.

• Experience building detailed interfaces and animations, including with tools such as Reanimated and Gesture Handler.

• Familiarity with Expo, TypeScript, and GraphQL; experience with fintech flows such as payments, identity verification, or authentication is helpful.

• Clear communication, sound mobile UX judgment, and a strong focus on quality and customer experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $180,000 to $230,000 annually, plus an equity opportunity. Visa sponsorship is available.
