Senior .NET Cloud Developer - The Netherlands - Remote - Contractor

Job Description This is a remote position. For an international institution based in The Hague (Den Haag, Netherlands), we are looking for a Senior .NET Developer with Cloud and Kubernetes experience/knowledge. As a Developer, you will become part of a bigger service, composed of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Testers to reinforce this growing team. First week of onboarding will be on-site in The Hague. A work permit is required as occasional travel is required. After onboarding the role will be remote. Candidates need to be fluent in English. Candidates need to be based in Europe. This position is also open for employees and contractors, who would like to commit long-term. Tasks and responsibilities: Write web frontend code in JavaScript frameworks, as Vue.js or React. Knockout knowledge is a plus; Participate in the .NET implementation of a micro-services solution, being able to write backend code in a reliable, fast, scalable, and secure way, satisfying requirements and service level agreements; Write OAUTH authentication mechanisms. ADFS knowledge is a plus; Implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests; Assist with deployment and configuration of the system. Setup CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps platform. Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker, cloud environments and platforms is assumed; Write helm charts and integrate services on Kubernetes environments is a plus; Work comfortably within a team. Follow Scrum procedures and disciplines. Estimate the work to be done upon request; Write technical documentation. Account for secure coding practices, as well as logging and auditing features; Communicate in a clean, concise way, not only to peers but to upper layers when needed; Profile: ​ Bachelor or Master degree; +6 years of working experience in Software Development preferably in .NET; Real experience with highly scalable systems; Good knowledge of Visual Studio and Azure DevOps; Good knowledge of the design and development of web components; Good knowledge of the design and development of back-end components (REST APIs, integrations, micro-services); Good knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. AGILE); Good knowledge of relational databases, which includes writing average SQL queries; In-depth knowledge of Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core; In-depth knowledge on how to design and develop .NET micro-services applications that run on Linux containers with Kubernetes; Good knowledge of at least one JavaScript framework like Vue.js, React or Angular; Good knowledge of OOP paradigms and SOLID principles; Fluent in English; Interested: Please send your resume to [email protected]
