Senior .NET Engineer

Senior .NET Engineer | Full-time | 100% Remote (Europe, excluding Netherlands)

For a fast-growing, international travel-tech scale-up, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET) to join their distributed engineering team.

The Role:

In this role, you will own key backend microservices end-to-end, making critical architectural decisions, shipping code directly to production, and collaborating in an AI-native engineering environment using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot agent mode.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy scalable microservices and Travel APIs using modern .NET and C#.
• Take full end-to-end technical ownership of production services, ensuring stability and operational reliability.
• Collaborate directly with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Apply OOD, TDD, SOLID principles, and CQRS patterns deliberately in day-to-day development.
• Leverage AI coding agents daily for building features and conducting peer code reviews.
• Mentor fellow developers and elevate technical quality across the squad.

Profile:

• 4+ years of professional backend software engineering experience with .NET and C# as your primary language.
• Proven track record of independently owning components or microservices in production.
• Strong proficiency in SOLID principles, TDD, and CQRS architectures.
• Experience using AI coding tools in daily engineering workflows.
• Strictly based outside the Netherlands and working within ±2 hours of CET/CEST timezone.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Experience with NoSQL databases and message brokers such as RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with GDS systems or travel sector APIs (Amadeus, Galileo).
• Prior experience in remote-first software scale-up environments.

Conditions & Benefits:

• Gross annual salary up to €75,000 gross, including holiday allowance, based on 40 hours (up to €5,800 gross per month).
• 100% remote flexibility across Europe (strictly outside the Netherlands, ±2h CET).
