Senior .NET Full-stack Developer for Industrial Risk Systems

About the role

As a senior developer, you will join IT Industrial Risk Systems, where we build solutions that support underwriting for multinational clients. Our systems help underwriters price insurance products correctly by taking different risk factors into account.

The role is part of a modern technology environment built around C#, Entity Framework, React, Azure and ASP.NET Core. The team values high code quality, efficient ways of working and development according to modern architectural patterns.

You will be part of one of four agile development teams in IT Industrial Risk Systems. Each team consists of software developers and quality assurance engineers working together as a cross-functional agile team, in close collaboration with product owners on the business side and architects. The team we are recruiting for is fully located in Riga.

What are you going to do?

• Develop and maintain back-end solutions using C#, Entity Framework, ASP.NET Core and Azure

• Build and improve high-performing front-end solutions using React

• Use AI tools to complete development tasks more efficiently and support better productivity in the development process

• Apply analytical and technical skills to solve advanced problems and improve daily work for users

• Write clean, maintainable, high-quality code aligned with modern architectural patterns

• Collaborate with developers, quality assurance engineers, product owners and architects to deliver solutions in the right way

What do we expect from you?

Must have

• Be passionate about your work and committed to writing high-quality code

• Stay self-motivated and take ownership of delivering the best possible outcome within the agreed timeframe and scope

• Be open to feedback and use it to continuously improve your work

• Excellent Latvian and English language skills are required for effective day-to-day communication with colleagues both locally and internationally

• High sense of responsibility and risk awareness

• Team player spirit with a natural appetite for learning, challenging yourself and sharing knowledge

• Experience in estimating development effort

• Experience of business requirement analysis

• High technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills

• At least 5 years’ experience in .NET software development

• Basic understanding of Azure

• Good knowledge of the C# programming language and .NET Core / Entity Framework / MSSQL

• Knowledge of TypeScript programming language and React

Nice to have

• Experience in MUI React Component library

• Azure DevOps release pipeline setup/management skills

• Azure Certifications
• Microservices Architecture knowledge
