About Sharon AI

Sharon AI is building the infrastructure powering the next generation of artificial intelligence.

Operating across high-performance GPU compute and AI infrastructure, we are focused on delivering reliable, scalable and secure solutions that support advanced AI workloads.

As Sharon AI continues to grow, we’re looking for a talented Senior Network Administrator (L3 Support) to join our Network Operations team and operate and strengthen our high-performance data centre networks and AI fabrics.

The Role

In terms of this particular opportunity, the Senior Network Administrator (L3 Support) will lead complex network and AI fabric troubleshooting, restoration and performance optimisation across our Australian and global environments.

You’ll work closely with NOC, Infrastructure and Platform Operations, Data Centre Engineering, Security and technology vendors, with exposure to large-scale GPU infrastructure and high-performance AI environments.

The role reports to the NOC Manager and collaborates with specialists across the business.

The position offers a Sydney-based hybrid arrangement, with occasional data centre travel and participation in an after-hours on-call roster.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate, configure and troubleshoot production data centre routing, switching and network services.

• Support high-performance InfiniBand, Ethernet and RoCE/RDMA fabrics for GPU, AI and HPC workloads.

• Diagnose leaf-spine, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, VLAN and host connectivity issues across network layers.

• Investigate latency, congestion, packet loss, MTU, QoS, PFC and ECN performance issues.

• Lead L3 technical escalations, service restoration and root-cause analysis for complex incidents.

• Maintain monitoring, telemetry, configurations, firmware, documentation and operational runbooks.

• Coordinate hardware maintenance, vendor escalations and network service transitions.

• Build scripts and automation to improve reliability, diagnostics and repeatable operations.

• Guide L1/L2 colleagues and strengthen team troubleshooting capability.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7 years of hands-on data centre networking, network operations or infrastructure support experience.

• Strong routing, switching, Ethernet and data centre network architecture knowledge.

• Experience resolving complex incidents and restoring critical production services.

• Familiarity with leaf-spine architecture, BGP and EVPN/VXLAN.

• Clear communication, operational ownership and collaboration across technical teams.

• A proactive, analytical approach to performance, security and continuous improvement.

Nice to have:

• InfiniBand, RoCE/RDMA, high-speed Ethernet, PFC and ECN exposure.

• Network automation, scripting, APIs or configuration management experience.

• Experience in AI, HPC, cloud or large-scale data centre environments.

You don’t necessarily need to tick every box. If you have strong foundations, are curious and excited about what we’re building, we’d still love to hear from you.
