Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring on behalf of its client, a leading financial services institution, for a Senior Network Automation Engineer / Network Architect. This senior individual contributor will design and drive network automation strategy across enterprise environments, building Python and Ansible based tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code, while leading architectural decisions for secure, scalable network solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of hands-on experience across Python, Linux, Ansible, BGP and TCP/IP, Terraform, CI/CD, and network security architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Automation and Scripting

• Develop and implement automation strategies for network configuration, monitoring, and management.
  
• Design and maintain scripts and tools to automate network tasks and workflows.
  
• Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Python and shell scripts within virtual environments.
  
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation.
  
• Deploy code to Development, QA, Staging, and Production servers using a continuous integration and deployment pipeline platform.
  
• Validate that new services function as expected using a testing framework, and add new test cases to the test suite to continuously improve quality assurance.
  
• Implement and manage network orchestration tools to streamline operations in conjunction with the client's foundational automation team.
  
• Apply in-depth network security expertise to automation and architecture work.
  

Architecture, Leadership, and Collaboration

• Lead architectural discussions and decision making processes related to network and automation.
  
• Serve as a key individual contributor accountable for enabling secure environments, processes, and technologies for business and technology groups.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand network requirements and translate them into technical solutions that can be clearly explained to management and the team.
  
• Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, DevOps engineers, and software developers, to streamline operations and processes.
  
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network architects and engineers.
  
• Participate in team on-call rotations when required to support application users.
  

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
  
• Document code and system configurations.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  
• 7+ years of proven experience as a network architect or in a similar senior-level network engineering role.
  
• Extensive experience with network automation tools and practices.
  
• Strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions.
  
• Proficiency in network protocols, services, and standards, including TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, and VRFs.
  
• Very strong proficiency in Python programming and Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
  
• Hands-on experience with network automation tools such as Ansible.
  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  
• Technical network security background, including network security architecture experience.
  
• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN), such as Arista CVP and Cisco ACI.
  
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  
• Leadership capability, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced networking certifications such as CCIE or JNCIE.
  
• Arista ACE Level 5+ or Cisco DevNet Specialist, Professional, or Expert certification.
  
• Knowledge of database systems and sources of truth, such as SQL and Nautobot.
  

Compensation

$68 to $73 per hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
