Senior Ontologist / Semantic Knowledge Engineer- European Union – Full Remote

We are currently looking for: Senior Ontologist Requirements: We are currently looking for a Senior Ontologist to join an international project, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of ontologies that support Knowledge Graph, semantic enrichment, data integration, and knowledge management initiatives. Required Competencies: Minimum 5 years of experience in ontology design, development, and semantic technologies Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ontologies and taxonomies independently Expert knowledge of Semantic Web and W3C standards: RDF / RDFS OWL SKOS SHACL SPARQL Strong knowledge of Datalog or other inferencing rule languages Experience with standard serialization formats, including Turtle (TTL) and JSON-LD Experience analysing different data formats, including JSON and Excel, for semantic integration Experience with ontology development tools such as metaphactory and RDFox Strong experience with Git, including branching, merging, and reviewing ontology-related changes Knowledge of ontology and taxonomy development best practices and methodologies Ability to ensure semantic accuracy, consistency, and quality across ontology models Ability to work independently with minimal supervision English proficiency – C1/C2 Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to analyse complex issues, evaluate trade-offs, and implement effective solutions Excellent attention to detail and semantic consistency Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders Strong ability to drive consensus among different stakeholders Autonomous and proactive mindset Ability to work effectively in an international and collaborative environment Location: European Union – Full Remote Gross salary range €3,800–€4,300 monthly Note: Includes all components: Fixed, Variable, Meal Allowance, Remote Work, and Benefits.
