We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to drive the operation, optimization, and scaling of a global enterprise database ecosystem for our client, a leading multinational technology consultancy. You will take ownership of business-critical, high-throughput database systems, ensuring maximum availability, automated performance tuning, and seamless modernization across hybrid cloud environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Taking end-to-end technical ownership of the administration, scalability, and performance of global Oracle database platforms.
• Delivering 3rd-level engineering support for complex database solutions and Oracle Exadata / Exadata Cloud@Customer environments.
• Designing, tuning, and optimizing high-availability database architectures using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
• Driving automation workflows for database provisioning, maintenance, and deployment using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.
• Conducting deep-dive root cause analyses, performance profiling, and troubleshooting on mission-critical production instances.
• Implementing and validating enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies via RMAN, Flashback, and Data Pump.
• Collaborating closely with distributed development and infrastructure engineering squads to guide schema design and query optimization.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of proven commercial experience as an Oracle DBA within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong consultant mindset: Ability to diagnose intricate production bottlenecks under pressure, justify technical decisions, and translate architectural guidelines into actionable delivery.
• Hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, Clusterware, ASM, and Data Guard for high-availability setups.
• In-depth background with Oracle Exadata architectures, including Cloud@Customer deployments and deep performance tuning.
• Strong automation capabilities using Ansible, Python, and Linux shell scripting alongside Git workflows.
• Fluent English and German communication skills for daily cross-border collaboration.
• Flexibility for occasional project-related business travel as required.

Must-Haves:

• Deep technical mastery of Oracle Database versions (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, and 23ai).
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard configurations.
• Practical engineering experience with Oracle Exadata / Exadata Cloud@Customer platforms and advanced tuning.
• Robust proficiency with backup and recovery mechanisms (RMAN, Flashback, Data Pump).
• Strong scripting and automation skills in PL/SQL, Python, and Bash/Shell.
• Professional fluency in both German and English.

• 100% Remote working model (Germany based)
