Join our team as a Senior Performance & Resilience Test (Hybrid - Oeiras)!

What You’ll Do:

• Design and execute performance and resilience testing scenarios for mobile and web applications.
• Perform traffic manipulation and network variability testing using Charles Proxy or equivalent tools such as mitmproxy.
• Configure and use Rewrite Rules, Breakpoints, Map Local, Map Remote, SSL Proxying, and network throttling.
• Test application resilience under network drops, API errors, timeouts, and server failures.
• Validate retry mechanisms and client-side error-handling logic.
• Analyze API traffic between mobile applications and backend services.
• Analyze application logs, response times, and waterfall views to assess application performance.
• Measure manual load times, including the time required for a screen to become fully usable.
• Produce structured test evidence and test case matrices with clear Pass/Fail results.
• Provide Go/No-Go recommendations based on testing outcomes.
• Document test execution results, defects, findings, and conclusions with a high level of accuracy.
• Collaborate with Development teams to discuss technical findings, identify issues, and support resolution activities.
• Work autonomously in partially defined environments and contribute to technical discussions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience with Charles Proxy or equivalent tools such as mitmproxy.
• Hands-on knowledge of: Rewrite Rules, Breakpoints, Map Local / Map Remote, SSL Proxying, Network throttling, Traffic manipulation
• Experience with mobile application testing across iOS and Android.
• Experience analyzing API traffic between mobile applications and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of client-side resilience testing, including: Network interruptions/drops, API errors, Timeouts, Server crashes/failures, Retry mechanisms, Error handling
• Experience analyzing logs, response times, and waterfall data.
• Knowledge of application performance and manual load-time analysis.
• Experience creating structured test evidence, including test case matrices, Pass/Fail criteria, and Go/No-Go conclusions.
• Strong test documentation and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently/autonomously in environments with partially defined requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with Development teams.
