Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Philanthropic Associate to join Wealth & Investment Management as part of Banking, Lending & Trust.
This is an opportunity to support meaningful philanthropic relationships while building experience in trust and fiduciary administration. In this role, you will partner with philanthropic professionals, portfolio managers, operations teams, and other relationship partners to help deliver a coordinated and responsive client experience.
The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, client-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role may be especially attractive to professionals interested in continuing to develop their knowledge of philanthropic services, trust administration, fiduciary practices, and wealth management.

Banking, Lending, & Trust (BL&T) unlocks access to Wells Fargo Bank products and services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families based on needs related to banking, custom lending, and trust services. These bank specialists leverage resources, valuable research, relationships, custom solutions, and highly tuned strategies to address clients' unique needs and aspirations.
BL&T further provides guidance on a variety of banking and fiduciary topics including investment management, general trust administration, specialty trusts, custody, tax, specialty assets, regulatory, privacy, ecommerce, deposit relationship and strategy, and business strategies. The section also provides support to the WIM Diverse Segments group, including WIM referral activity.
Trust Services Trust advisors discuss the needs of HNW and UHNW clients and provide personalized advice and wealth and asset management services, including:
• Personal trust services.
• Estate services.
• Philanthropic services.
• Closely held asset management.
• Real estate and loan asset management.
• Oil, gas and mineral management.
• Legacy trust services.
• Special needs trust services.
• Managed Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA).

In this role, you will:
- Support the Philanthropic team with the day-to-day administration and management of client accounts, including money movement, overdrafts, routine account maintenance, additional account onboarding, account closings, fee discontinuation requests, and routine forms and information requests.
- Monitor accounts for sufficient liquidity related to upcoming fees, taxes, and distributions, and coordinate with Portfolio Managers when cash needs to be raised.
- Deliver responsive, accurate, clear, and professional communication to internal and external partners.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, work with a sense of urgency, and provide timely status updates.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Understand and execute applicable processes, procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation activities.
- Work effectively across firm-based systems used by Trust Services.
- Follow Wells Fargo policies and procedures, including complaint management, issue management, and escalation requirements.
- Partner with Middle Office, WIM Operations, and CRG partners on Know Your Customer (KYC) updates, maintenance, and completion.
- Build trusted working relationships with colleagues, internal partners, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with members of the relationship team to help provide a coordinated client experience.
- Assist the Philanthropic team in preparing materials that help deliver trust acumen education to internal partners.
- Proactively communicate with colleagues and internal partners regarding matters affecting client accounts.
- Serve as a technical resource for the team.
- Seek opportunities for professional development through formal and informal mentorship while also supporting the development of junior team members.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative or sales support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of estate, trust, or fiduciary administration, philanthropic concepts, and applicable fiduciary laws and federal regulations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals across all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with relationship team members, clients' advisors, internal partners, and other colleagues.
- Client-facing, customer service, or administrative support experience, preferably in financial services, trust, wealth management, or a related environment.
- Solutions-oriented approach with strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with exposure to trust accounting platforms and Salesforce.
