Senior PHP Developer

About the Role

Accion Labs is looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a product engineering team supporting enterprise-grade web platforms. This role involves owning features end-to-end, from requirements analysis and design to development, testing, deployment, and production support.

We are seeking engineers who actively leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity while maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain front-end and back-end components.
• Utilize AI coding assistants and agentic development tools in daily work.
• Review and validate AI-generated code for quality, performance, and security.
• Write automated tests and ensure reliable production deployments.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and participate in on-call activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong full-stack engineering background.
• Hands-on experience with React, PHP, or Perl (React preferred).
• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar.
• Strong testing mindset and experience with automated testing.
• Ability to work effectively within large existing codebases.
• Experience supporting production applications and resolving incidents.
• Excellent communication skills in a remote, distributed environment.

Nice to Have

• Strong React expertise.
• PHP and/or Perl development experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms, managed hosting, or high-availability environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with AI-driven development workflows and automated code review tools.
