At DCCEEW, we are tackling some of the most important challenges of our time — climate change, clean energy, water security, and the protection of our natural and cultural heritage. Behind every bold environmental initiative is a powerful digital ecosystem, and that’s where you come in.
We are looking for a Senior Platform Configuration Administrator who thrives on complexity, champions best practice and wants their work to have real impact across NSW.
If you love solving problems, optimising systems, and ensuring technology quietly hums in the background while big things happen out front, this role is your next step.
About the role
In this role, you will be the trusted expert ensuring our websites and packaged applications are secure, stable and ready to support a rapidly evolving organisation. You will have the opportunity to work across content management systems, customer relationship management platforms, automated workflows and other business applications.
You will:
- Lead Level 2 and 3 support for a diverse portfolio of websites and packaged applications
- Manage application lifecycle activities, including configuration, upgrades, patching, integrations and vendor-supported releases
- Oversee website and content management platforms, packaged application environments and production go-live transitions
- Resolve complex website and application issues and minimise service disruptions
- Shape and enforce technical standards, guidelines and best practices
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Department, liaising with internal teams and external vendors
- Provide expert advice that strengthens architecture, scalability and performance
Every day, you will help keep critical systems running smoothly so our teams can focus on protecting the environment, supporting communities, and driving NSW toward a sustainable future.
About You
You are someone with deep experience supporting websites, content management systems and packaged applications across their lifecycle. You enjoy tackling complex problems and turning them into practical, sustainable solutions. You can configure and troubleshoot applications, manage upgrades and integrations, work effectively with vendors, and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders. You balance operational demands with project priorities, apply strong cyber-security and accessibility awareness, and continually look for ways to improve service reliability and user experience.
Essential Requirements
- Certifications relevant to the Platform(s) being administered
- Significant experience in application, website or digital service support
