As the Senior Policy System Solutions Consultant, you will provide technical guidance, input, and support for our most complex, progressive, strategic projects and tasks. You will independently navigate projects through high levels of uncertainty, holding teams, peers and often leaders across multiple portfolios (Systems and Products) accountable for obtaining optimal outcomes. You are responsible for critiquing and overseeing the development of pivotal, strategic analysis, developing recommendations, and presentations and help to create capacity for the leader, opportunities for advancement of the development of the team and set high performance standards.

How you will create impact:

  • Serving as the senior Guidewire subject matter expert, leading system strategy, innovation, enhancements, risk assessment, performance monitoring, and complex problem resolution to support business objectives and profitable growth.
  • Leading large-scale strategic initiatives and projects, providing expert recommendations, business representation, data-driven insights, and oversight to ensure successful delivery of organizational priorities.
  • Coaching and mentoring consultants and specialists, supporting onboarding, promoting knowledge sharing, and developing team capability in policy administration systems, business strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with IT, business leaders, and cross-functional partners to align resources, address system impacts, and drive effective solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and modernize Guidewire systems, research emerging solutions, and champions client-centric enhancements that improve efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Analyzing data, evaluates impacts across multiple business functions, develops business cases, and provides strategic recommendations that align technology investments with organizational goals.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor on complex, high-profile, legal, compliance, and operational issues while supporting communications, training materials, and governance activities related to system changes and initiatives.

To join our team:

  • You have 6 - 9 years of progressive experience in the insurance industry and knowledge of our systems and products.
  • You have a University Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent business system experience.
  • You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation.
  • You have experience working in and understanding of our business and operating models within PCIS.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Guidewire systems, insurance operations, and end-to-end business and technical processes, with the ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions, assess impacts, and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, project management, analytical, and relationship-building skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate recommendations, manage competing priorities, and deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Salary information​

Expected salary range $91,058 - $151,764 (min-max, full range).

Salary placement​

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.​

Incentive/Variable pay ​

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
