Senior Power BI Engineer

Type of contract: Employment contract

Salary range: 14600 - 22300 PLN gross

What will you do?

You will join a delivery team supporting a banking client in the Middle East, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions. In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, create meaningful dashboards and reports, improve operational transparency, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Your tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business, operational, and management users
• Create, optimize, and maintain datasets, semantic models, and data structures supporting enterprise reporting needs
• Gather and clarify reporting requirements in cooperation with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams
• Use SQL, DAX, and data analysis techniques to support data validation, transformation, and reporting insights
• Prepare documentation and ensure reporting solutions are maintainable and aligned with project standards
• Continuously improve analytics solutions and reporting processes
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality reporting capabilities

Your skills

• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power Query (M), DAX, and data modelling
• Good SQL skills to support data analysis, validation, and reporting activities
• Experience in designing and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions
• Good knowledge of Power BI Service, including workspace management, dataset administration, report publishing, scheduled refresh configuration, row-level security (RLS), and access management
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
• Experience in gathering and translating business requirements into effective reporting solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent English, minimum B2 level

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Databricks
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Knowledge of financial, operational, workforce, or project reporting
• Understanding of KPI frameworks and performance management
