Senior Power System Engineer | Team Leader

Location: 100% Remote

MR Power Systems is a company specializing in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on electrical safety for clients across the EMEA region. Our mission is to improve electrical safety, educate individuals and businesses on arc flash and electric shock hazards, and become a top-tier firm in power system studies and calculations.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced engineer with a clear vision and deep technical expertise in power system analysis to step into the role of Team Leader and establish work standards for our technical team.

You will be responsible for the technical quality of our engineering reports and expert evaluations. As the team grows, you will also mentor and manage other specialists, supported by our HR specialist on soft skills development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Oversight: Supervising the creation of Digital Twins in ETAP and/or related software (DIgSILENT, CYME, SKM, PSCAD, Caneco).
• Advanced Electrical Analysis: Performing advanced studies and providing technical expert evaluations.
• Core Calculations & Verification: Executing and verifying key power system studies (including Short Circuit Studies, Load Flow Analysis, Protection Coordination, Harmonics Analysis, and Arc Flash Risk Assessments).
• Mentorship & Development: Sharing knowledge with the engineering team and driving their technical growth.
• Technical Sales Support: Collaborating with the sales team as a subject matter expert.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5–7 years of experience in power system analysis (mandatory).
• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of at least one of the following: ETAP, SKM, DIgSILENT, or CYME.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of protection coordination, arc flash analysis, and short-circuit calculations.
• Leadership & Communication: Desire to lead a team, strong communication skills, and an ability to share technical knowledge effectively.
• Travel: Willingness to travel for business and participate in industry conferences (with potential opportunities as a speaker).
• Languages: Fluent English (knowledge of other EU languages is a major plus).
