Your role

At Allens, our business teams are also specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges.

You'll be a part of our Pricing and Value team supporting the Heads of Pricing and the Pricing Manager group. You'll work closely with many parts of the firm, consulting with Partners, Lawyers, Practice Executives, Finance and other stakeholders on the implementation of the firm's pricing strategy to deliver value to our clients. You will also play an important role in supporting commercial pricing decisions, helping the firm win, retain and grow client relationships through effective pricing, financial analysis and pricing insights.

This role combines responsibility for the firm's pricing and rates operations with opportunities to support strategic pricing initiatives and commercial projects led by the Pricing Managers. It is well suited to someone who enjoys combining operational excellence with commercial and analytical problem solving.

As a Senior Pricing Analyst in our team, you will be:

  • Supporting Pricing Managers on firm-wide pricing projects, day-to-day pricing requests and commercial analysis, including Excel-based modelling, scenario analysis and clear outputs. This may include supporting pricing strategy development, business case preparation and commercial decision-making for client opportunities and existing client relationships.
  • Supporting Pricing Managers with profitability analysis, pricing reviews, alternative fee arrangement assessments and other commercial initiatives that help inform client and matter pricing decisions.
  • Coordinating and maintaining the firm's pricing and rates operations processes, including accurate records of client pricing arrangements, agreed rates, discounts, fee structures and implementation requirements.
  • Documenting pricing agreement terms in a structured and consistent way so that details, instructions and supporting records are centrally maintained and available to Billing, eBilling, Finance and other relevant teams.
  • Coordinating the implementation of new client pricing agreements by preparing clear instructions to the Billing and eBilling teams and working with them to support accurate entry and ongoing compliance with agreed terms.
  • Supporting the annual client rate review process, including preparing data, tracking required updates, identifying exceptions and helping ensure agreed annual rate changes are implemented accurately and on time.
  • Monitoring multi-year pricing agreements to identify scheduled rate changes, review dates, step-ups, promotional adjustments and other pricing actions required during the term of the agreement.
  • Preparing analysis and modelling for upcoming agreement renewals, expiries or pricing reviews, and escalating key issues, risks or opportunities to Pricing Managers for consideration.
  • Maintaining, identifying and improving rates and pricing data quality, process documentation, templates and reporting to support consistent, efficient and reliable pricing operations.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve pricing operations through automation, process improvement, reporting enhancements and technology-enabled solutions, including the use of data analytics and emerging AI capabilities where appropriate.
  • Supporting training and guidance for Practice Executives and relevant business teams on rates processes, agreement implementation and pricing data requirements.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.
