The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst to lead pricing analysis, pricing strategy support, competitive intelligence, price optimization, profitability analysis, and commercial performance reporting.
The ideal candidate will combine advanced analytical capabilities with strong commercial judgment to evaluate pricing structures, understand customer and market behavior, identify pricing opportunities, assess the impact of discounts and promotions, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain pricing analysis frameworks across products, services, markets, customers, and channels.
- Analyze current pricing structures and identify opportunities to improve revenue, margins, and customer value.
- Support development and implementation of pricing strategies aligned with commercial and financial objectives.
- Conduct detailed analysis of historical pricing, revenue, volume, margin, customer behavior, and market performance.
- Perform price-volume-mix analysis to explain changes in revenue and profitability.
- Analyze price elasticity, demand sensitivity, purchasing behavior, and customer response to price changes where applicable.
- Evaluate pricing performance by product, service, customer segment, geography, channel, contract, and other relevant dimensions.
- Develop pricing models, scenarios, simulations, and recommendations for new and existing offerings.
- Support pricing decisions for product launches, market expansions, contract renewals, promotions, and strategic accounts.
- Analyze competitor pricing, market positioning, discounts, promotions, packaging, and commercial structures.
- Develop and maintain competitive pricing databases and market benchmarks.
- Monitor changes in competitor pricing and identify potential commercial implications.
- Conduct market research to understand customer willingness to pay, perceived value, and price sensitivity.
- Analyze customer segments and identify differentiated pricing opportunities where appropriate.
- Support development of customer segmentation and pricing tiers.
- Evaluate discount structures, rebates, incentives, promotional offers, and commercial concessions.
- Establish guidelines for discount approval, pricing exceptions, and commercial controls where applicable.
- Monitor pricing compliance and identify unauthorized or inconsistent discounts.
- Analyze the financial impact of discounts, rebates, promotions, and other pricing adjustments.
- Identify pricing leakage and recommend measures to improve price realization.
- Monitor realized prices against list prices, target prices, approved pricing, and contractual terms.
- Investigate significant pricing variances and identify underlying commercial or operational causes.
- Develop price-waterfall analysis to identify sources of price leakage between list price and realized revenue.
- Support contract-pricing analysis and evaluate the financial impact of commercial terms.
- Review customer contracts, pricing schedules, escalation clauses, volume discounts, and other relevant commercial provisions.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to evaluate pricing proposals and customer-specific opportunities.
- Provide pricing guidance for bids, tenders, quotations, renewals, and major commercial negotiations.
- Build deal-pricing models that assess revenue, margin, volume, risk, and expected customer value.
- Evaluate pricing scenarios and recommend commercially sustainable price points.
- Support Sales teams in understanding pricing rationale, margin requirements, and approved pricing frameworks.
- Partner with Finance to ensure pricing assumptions are aligned with financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and profitability objectives.
- Analyze gross margin, contribution margin, customer profitability, and product profitability.
- Assess the financial impact of proposed pricing changes on revenue, volume, margins, and customer retention.
- Support annual pricing reviews and periodic price-adjustment programs.
- Develop recommendations for inflationary increases, cost-pass-through mechanisms, and market-driven price changes.
- Monitor supplier costs, input costs, labor costs, logistics costs, and other cost drivers that may affect pricing requirements.
- Partner with Procurement and Operations to understand cost changes and their impact on pricing.
- Conduct cost-plus, value-based, competitive, and other relevant pricing analyses.
- Evaluate pricing opportunities associated with product bundling, packaging, subscriptions, services, add-ons, and premium offerings.
- Analyze product and service portfolios to identify underpriced, overpriced, low-margin, or strategically important offerings.
- Support portfolio rationalization and pricing architecture initiatives.
- Develop pricing waterfalls, dashboards, scorecards, and management reports.
- Establish consistent definitions, methodologies, and governance for pricing metrics.
- Ensure pricing data is accurate, complete, consistent, and traceable across source systems.
- Reconcile pricing, sales, billing, revenue, and financial data across ERP, CRM, pricing, and commercial systems.
- Investigate data-quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with Finance, IT, Data, Sales, and system owners.
- Develop automated pricing reports and analytical tools to reduce manual work and improve decision-making speed.
- Build financial models to assess pricing scenarios, market opportunities, customer proposals, and commercial initiatives.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis for price, volume, demand, cost, churn, and competitive changes.
- Develop pricing forecasts and quantify expected financial impacts of proposed pricing actions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and business-case development with pricing assumptions.
- Measure the performance of pricing initiatives after implementation and compare actual results with expected outcomes.
- Establish test-and-learn approaches for pricing experiments, promotions, packaging, and customer offers where appropriate.
- Monitor pricing KPIs and establish early-warning indicators for pricing risks and opportunities.
- Present pricing insights, recommendations, and business cases to senior management and cross-functional leadership.
- Prepare executive-level pricing reports and communicate complex analytical findings clearly.
- Maintain pricing policies, procedures, approval frameworks, analytical methodologies, and supporting documentation.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in pricing analytics, commercial finance, revenue management, financial analysis, business intelligence, sales analytics, commercial strategy, or revenue optimization, preferably within a technology, retail, e-commerce, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, professional-services, or other commercially complex environment.
The candidate should demonstrate:
