Are you looking to work for an innovative and fast-growing technology company, 100% remotely?
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented candidate for the position of Senior Process Engineer – Software & Engineering Operations.
We are seeking a senior engineering professional with a strong software engineering background who can analyze complex technical and operational processes, identify gaps and inconsistencies, redesign workflows end to end, and create the documentation, controls, and automation required to make those processes reliable, measurable, auditable, and scalable.
The ideal candidate combines software engineering, systems thinking, process design, technical documentation, governance, automation, and AI literacy. You should be comfortable working across backend systems, infrastructure, CI/CD, QA, documentation, and operational controls while independently driving work from analysis through approval and implementation.
The compensation range is $31 to $36 USD per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience and seniority.
Candidates from Latin America may be considered.
Candidates in a time zone outside of the Western Hemisphere will NOT be considered.
The role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing engineering and operational processes to identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, duplicated steps, and optimization opportunities.
- Design new end-to-end technical processes, including responsibilities, approvals, controls, evidence, exceptions, reporting, and completion criteria.
- Write and maintain technical procedures, SOPs, engineering guidelines, operational playbooks, architecture standards, testing standards, deployment procedures, approval workflows, and security controls.
- Align processes and requirements across multiple technical documents, policies, and internal standards.
- Identify conflicting requirements or definitions across technical documentation and propose clear resolutions.
- Own process changes from analysis and design through review, approval, and implementation.
- Verify that processes execute as designed by reviewing real execution data and revising the process when results contradict the intended design.
- Build checks, counters, metrics, controls, and reports that make process execution measurable.
- Review comments on your own technical drafts, apply or challenge feedback where appropriate, and reissue updated documentation.
- Design migration paths, transition plans, replacements, rollback strategies, and decommissioning approaches for existing processes.
- Build automated checks for reference resolution, version-pin validity, definition consistency, and metadata completeness.
- Use Python, Git, GitHub Actions, Markdown tooling, or similar technologies to automate documentation, configuration, compliance, or process checks.
- Collaborate across backend, frontend, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, security, compliance, and operations.
- Research and ask the right questions before acting, ensuring processes are designed with full context.
- Use AI tools confidently for research, document analysis, drafting, automation, and engineering workflows while understanding their capabilities and limitations.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience, ideally in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, technical operations, engineering governance, or related technical roles.
- Strong practical background in software engineering.
- Experience across several areas of the software lifecycle, ideally including: Backend development, Frontend exposure, Cloud infrastructure, Deployment and CI/CD, Testing / QA, Production operations, Technical documentation, Process design
- Demonstrated experience personally designing or redesigning technical or engineering processes from end to end.
- Demonstrated authorship of technical procedures, engineering guidelines, SOPs, standards, policies, or governance documentation.
- Strong understanding of APIs, services, databases, software architecture, deployment pipelines, production environments, and operational controls.
- Experience working with Git, GitHub, CI/CD workflows, and modern engineering environments.
- Experience developing metrics, controls, or automated checks to verify whether a process is working correctly.
- Strong systems thinking and holistic engineering approach.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, dependencies, edge cases, and risks.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex work from analysis through implementation.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and defend technical decisions with clear reasoning.
- Confident use of AI tools, including prompting, workflows, research, drafting, and automation.
- Strong written English at a professional working level without relying on AI assistance.
- Experience in regulated industries such as fintech, financial services, Web3, crypto, or digital asset custody is a plus, but not required.
We are not looking for someone who only writes code or someone who only documents processes created by others. We are looking for someone who understands how software works in production and can translate that knowledge into clear, measurable, auditable, and continuously improving engineering processes.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable reviewing a deployment workflow, discussing infrastructure with engineers, writing precise technical documentation, resolving conflicting requirements, defining process metrics, and building automated validation checks.
The ideal profile combines:
- Software Engineering + Systems Thinking + Process Design + Technical Documentation + Automation + AI Literacy + Extreme Attention to Detail
