Description

At Nybble Group we've spent 20 years building software for companies in the US and Canada. We're looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join a client team at a global leader in travel and hospitality. You'll work every day with their product and engineering teams.

About the role

You'll run day-to-day product development for the client's air travel products and report to their Product Manager. You'll own the customer-facing air experience: the web platform for searching, booking and managing flights. The first focus is launching seat selection and ancillary products for customers across the client's brands. You'll be the product lead for the engineering team. That means turning the roadmap into clear requirements, managing the backlog and priorities, and making sure every release meets the quality bar. You're the daily link between product strategy and engineering, and you keep delivery on track against roadmap commitments.

Key responsibilities

Product ownership and delivery
  • Act as product owner for the engineering team: own the backlog, write and prioritize user stories, and define clear acceptance criteria
  • Follow the roadmap set by the Product Manager and make sure priorities are delivered on schedule
  • Lead the agile ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews and daily standups
  • Make day-to-day scope and priority decisions within the roadmap, and escalate trade-offs to the Product Manager when needed
Requirements and analysis
  • Gather, document and validate business and functional requirements from business stakeholders, including seat selection, ancillary products and how they integrate with airline and booking systems
  • Turn business needs into detailed user stories, process flows and functional specs the engineering team can build from
  • Analyze current processes and systems to find gaps, dependencies and opportunities to improve
Quality and release readiness
  • Define acceptance criteria and work with QA so test coverage matches the business requirements
  • Run user acceptance testing and story acceptance, and sign off that delivered work meets the definition of done
  • Triage production issues and defects, and prioritize fixes against roadmap work
Stakeholder communication
  • Be the daily point of contact between the engineering team and the Product Manager
  • Report sprint progress, delivery risks and blockers to stakeholders promptly and openly
  • Support release planning, launch readiness, and tracking adoption and performance after launch
Required qualifications
  • 3+ years as a product analyst, business analyst or product owner on software development teams
  • Proven experience as a product owner in an agile/Scrum environment: backlog management, story writing, sprint ceremonies and acceptance
  • Strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills, including turning vague business needs into clear, testable user stories
  • Experience working directly with engineering and QA teams through the full software development lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong analytical skills, and comfortable using data to set priorities and measure product outcomes
  • Advanced English, written and spoken, for daily work with technical and business teams in the US
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
  • Experience in air or flight booking, or in travel and hospitality technology, especially seat selection, ancillary merchandising (bags, upgrades, extras) or airline distribution (GDS/NDC)
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-PBA or a similar certification
  • Familiarity with APIs and system integrations, and able to discuss technical constraints with engineers
  • Experience in a large enterprise, coordinating across several stakeholder groups
What success looks like
  • The engineering team always has a refined, prioritized backlog with clear acceptance criteria at least one sprint ahead
  • Roadmap commitments for the air product ship on time, and risks are raised early, not at the deadline
  • Released features meet quality expectations, with few defects reaching production and clean UAT sign-offs
  • Stakeholders and the Product Manager trust your status reports and rely on you as the day-to-day voice of the product
What we offer
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • Comprehensive leave policies, including PTO, sick leave, and study leave.
  • Access to employee discount programs.
  • Monthly connectivity allowance.
