The app combines video lessons from Hollywood accent coaches with instant AI feedback as you speak, powered by our proprietary speech models. It’s been downloaded by 5M+ users globally and featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, Wired, and Business Insider. We recently raised a $21M Series A led by Matrix Partners, with Flybridge, XFund, and Y Combinator. We're a small, fast-moving team with a mission to help 1 billion people speak English clearly and advance their careers. Role As a Senior Product Designer at BoldVoice, you will partner with our existing designer and the CEO to design our core product end to end, from concept to wireframe to polished, shipped UI. You will own meaningful surfaces of the app, drive your own research and prototyping, and turn ambiguous problems into features in the hands of users. This is a senior IC role on a small design team: we expect you to run with problems, raise the craft bar, and ship fast. Who you are A talented product designer with deep experience shipping mobile consumer apps User-obsessed with a passion for understanding and solving the user problem Hypothesis-driven: every design decision ties to a metric (trial start, trial to subscriber, retention), and is pressure-tested You prototype fast (Figma, code, AI tools) and iterate based on user behavior, not just opinions You sweat the details and fight for what drives the best experience for our users You have an ownership mindset and care about driving results for the users and the company You ship quickly, balancing craft with the cadence of an early-stage, fast-moving startup Requirements 6+ years as a product designer, with at least 2 in a senior or lead role at a high-growth consumer app or startup. A portfolio of consumer mobile apps you have shipped and iterated on, ideally with measurable impact on key metrics. Comfort designing alongside AI/ML capabilities (voice, speech, LLMs). Strong product instincts: you can articulate why a flow will perform and back it with reasoning. Operationally sharp: you can drive multiple workstreams in parallel while staying very hands-on in execution. Startup-native mindset: scrappy, fast, resourceful, and motivated by shipped impact.
