Senior Product Manager Location: Redwood City, CA — Hybrid (3 days/week in office) Team: Product Type: Full-time About GridCARE GridCARE is building software to unlock the next wave of AI infrastructure by solving a critical constraint: access to power and grid capacity. Our platform helps data centers, energy providers, and infrastructure developers understand, unlock, and accelerate available capacity in the electric grid—turning complex physical systems into actionable, software-driven decisions. Founded at Stanford’s Doerr School of Sustainability and backed by leading deep-tech and climate investors, GridCARE sits at the intersection of AI, energy systems, and large-scale infrastructure. We are a small, high-caliber team building foundational software for one of the most important bottlenecks in the AI era. The Role We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and drive a core area of the GridCARE platform. You will take ambiguous, technically complex problem spaces and turn them into clear, usable, and high-impact product experiences. This is a hands-on IC role focused on discovery, definition, and delivery. You will work closely with engineering, domain experts, customers, and commercial teams to define what we build, why it matters, and how it comes to life in production systems. This role is ideal for a product manager who thrives in deep technical environments, enjoys working across disciplines, and wants meaningful ownership in a fast-moving startup. What You’ll Do Own a key product area within the GridCARE platform from discovery through delivery and iteration. Work directly with customers and partners to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities. Translate complex technical and operational problems into simple, intuitive product requirements. Partner closely with engineering to design and ship reliable, scalable software systems. Define product metrics, evaluate performance, and iterate based on real-world usage. Drive prioritization across competing needs and help shape the product roadmap. Use AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, prototyping, and product development workflows. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of product management experience building and shipping complex B2B or enterprise software products. Experience working in the energy industry and with utilities is a plus. Experience working on data-heavy, systems-oriented, or technically complex products (e.g., real-time systems, simulation, optimization, forecasting, or infrastructure software). Customer-facing experience, with a track record of turning user needs into shipped products. Ability to work effectively with engineering teams on deeply technical systems. Strong analytical thinking and comfort with ambiguity in early-stage environments. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for technical and non-technical audiences. Hands-on fluency with AI tools for product work (research, prototyping, analysis, documentation, etc.). Strong product judgment and a bias toward action and execution.
