Show job description

Banking hasn't changed much in decades. We're changing that. One product at a time.

Lunar is a Nordic challenger bank building the future of financial life with AI at the core. Our engineers, designers, and product people work on problems that actually matter. Making money simpler, smarter, and more rewarding for millions of people across the Nordics.

Fully licensed and founded in 2015, with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm.

We move fast, we build with purpose, and we're just getting started.

As our new Senior Product Manager, you'll join the Sentinel squad based in Copenhagen, reporting to the Product Director for Compliant Growth, working to move Lunar from reactive, time-based checks to real-time, event-driven fraud and risk detection — so we can grow safely without growing Ops headcount to match. You'll work closely with Sentinel's engineers, engineering manager, and FCP domain experts, sitting at the intersection of risk, compliance, data, and engineering to translate complex regulatory requirements into risk scoring, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection products that actually ship.

What will you do?

  • Co-create the strategic direction and roadmap for Sentinel's risk scoring, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection products, in close partnership with FCP's domain experts and within the regulatory requirements set by our MLRO

  • Drive the shift from reactive, time-based checks to real-time, event-driven detection, so Lunar can catch risk and fraud as it happens, not after the fact

  • Own backlog prioritization and delivery planning together with engineering, flagging early and clearly whenever a deadline is at risk

  • Partner with engineering and data science to move retail detection toward a sharper mix of rules and models, so customer volume can grow without growing Ops headcount to match

  • Build trust and clarity across a complex stakeholder landscape spanning FCP, Risk, Compliance, Commercial, and Engineering

What are we looking for in you?

  • Deep experience in financial crime prevention — transaction monitoring, fraud detection, AML, or risk scoring — gained in a regulated environment

  • Solid product management experience, with a track record of owning and shipping complex, technical products end-to-end

  • Comfortable partnering with regulatory owners like an MLRO or Compliance function to co-create strategy and roadmap, rather than working around them

  • Strong stakeholder management and diplomatic judgment, with the steadiness to operate well in a genuinely complex, multi-stakeholder environment

  • Curiosity about event-driven risk models and a desire to move detection from static rules toward smarter, data-driven approaches

Benefits and perks

  • 4 days in the office. We're a team that builds together, thinks together, and moves together. Showing up is part of how we work.

  • State of the art equipment. The newest computer, monitor, mouse, and keyboard. We want you to do your best work without anything slowing you down.

  • Pension, health insurance, and enhanced parental leave. From your financial future to your family moments. We've got you covered.
