Senior Product Manager – Location Analytics (Move Platform & Move 2.0)

TomTom
Posted 3 hours ago
🇳🇱Netherlands🏢Hybrid📁Data & Analytics
Is this job info correct?

TomTom knows how the world moves. Location Analytics is how we put that knowledge in the hands of the people who plan, regulate, insure and operate the road network — road authorities, national transport agencies, consultancies, insurers and enterprises who need to know what actually happened on a road, not what a model guessed. Our Move platform already serves those customers with a suite of traffic and mobility analytics products. The next step is bigger than adding another one. We are rebuilding how customers work with location data: from dashboards and data downloads to an agentic, conversational platform — Move 2.0 and the Command Center — where a customer asks a question in their own words, sees the answer on the map, and keeps the thread of their analysis. Behind it, we are raising the statistical rigour of every number we ship and expanding the depth and coverage of our traffic volumes and area analytics. As Senior Product Manager for Location Analytics you own this portfolio end to end — the Move platform and its product suite, the Move 2.0 and Command Center evolution, and the analytics and volumes products underneath. You set the multi-year roadmap, you decide what gets built and what gets dropped, and you are accountable for the adoption and revenue that follow. What you'll do Own the Location Analytics portfolio — the Move platform, Move 2.0 and Command Center, and the underlying analytics and volumes products — setting the multi-year roadmap, the OKRs and the quality bar. Take Move 2.0 and the Command Center from demo to production: conversational, agentic analysis with in-map visualization and session history, rolled out across the product suite in stages. Turn a compelling prototype into something a paying customer depends on. Raise the statistical rigour behind our analytics, so every metric we publish carries a claim we can defend to customers who will challenge it — and make sure the interface communicates that confidence honestly. Set the coverage and quality agenda for traffic volumes and area analytics, and decide where we invest to open up adjacent use cases such as emissions and road safety. Own the commercial side: pricing, packaging, and the route to growth through self-service and partner-led channels as well as direct sales. Focus on outcomes over outputs, holding yourself to metrics customers feel — data quality, geographic coverage, platform adoption and portfolio revenue. Gather first-hand insight from public-sector, enterprise and partner customers, and separate the high-value initiatives from the nice-to-haves. Say no clearly and explain why. Represent the portfolio to senior stakeholders in business and portfolio reviews with concise, numerate arguments rather than status decks. Establish yourself as the go-to person for what TomTom's analytical location data can and cannot support, and hold that trust across product, engineering and commercial teams. What you'll need A minimum of 8 years' experience as a Product Manager, including ownership of a portfolio or platform rather than a single product, preferably in geospatial, mobility, traffic, analytics or data-product domains. A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, statistics or a related field. Demonstrated experience shipping data and analytics products — API, batch data delivery, or an analytics application — and pricing and packaging them commercially. Strong data acumen: comfortable with sampling, statistical confidence and the difference between a number that is precise and a number that is right. You can interrogate a data science team's method, not just accept its output. Practical experience with AI-assisted or agentic product surfaces, and clear judgement about where they add value and where they do not. A track record of turning early prototypes and demos into production products with real customers behind them. Experience working with public-sector and enterprise customers, and the patience that procurement cycle requires. Experience mentoring or leading other product managers. Excellent verbal and written communication, including with senior technical and executive audiences, and the ability to make a case to both engineers and commercial teams. Proven ability to coordinate people and technical resources across multiple teams and locations. Strong problem-solving skills and structured thinking, with the confidence to make a call on incomplete information and revisit it when the data changes. What we offer A competitive compensation package, of course. Time and resources to grow and develop, including a personal development budget and paid leave for learning days, as well as paid access to e-learning resources such as O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning. Time to support life outside of work, with enhanced parental leave plus paid leave to care for loved ones and volunteer in local communities. Work flexibility, where TomTom’ers, in agreement with their manager and team, use both the office and home to focus, collaborate, learn and socialize. It’s all about getting the best out of both worlds – we ask TomTom’ers to come to the office two days a week, and the remaining three are free to be worked in either location. Improve your home office with a setup budget and get extra support with a monthly allowance. Enjoy options to work from your home country and abroad for a set number of days each year, to visit family and friends, or to simply explore the world we’re mapping. Take the holidays you want with a competitive holiday plan, plus an extra day off to celebrate your birthday.
