The Role
Scheduling has been part of Deputy since the beginning and remains at the heart of our product. It helps businesses put the right people on the right shifts, while giving workers a clearer view of their schedules and more flexibility when plans change. Deputy supports more than 1.5 million shift workers across over 100 countries, giving improvements to Scheduling the potential to make a difference at real scale.
As Senior Product Manager, you’ll own the Scheduling product area end to end. You’ll get close to customers, decide which problems matter most, set priorities, work with Design and Engineering to deliver solutions, and learn from how they perform. We value people who take initiative, make thoughtful decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
Responsibilities
Set the vision and direction for Scheduling, turning customer and business needs into a clear strategy, priorities and roadmap.
Own product initiatives from discovery through build, launch and iteration, partnering with Design and Engineering to deliver improvements.
Define what success looks like, use customer insight and product data to make decisions, measure impact and keep improving.
Understand the market and competitors, and shape how Scheduling stands out and is brought to customers.
Solve complex scheduling challenges in scalable ways across customers, industries and regions.
Bring teams and senior stakeholders together around goals and trade-offs, communicating the reasons behind decisions and progress.
Spot risks and blockers early, take action and adapt plans as you learn.
Share your knowledge and mentor other product managers and team members.
Skills & Experience
Around 3–5 years of experience in product management, preferably in a SaaS environment, with experience owning a product or meaningful product area end to end.
A track record of making sound product decisions and delivering outcomes for customers and the business.
High agency and ownership: you spot opportunities, ask good questions, make decisions and follow through.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sense of ambiguous or complex problems.
Technical confidence. You’re comfortable reading API documentation, using and troubleshooting REST APIs, interpreting payloads and data models, and working with engineers on integrations and complex systems.
Clear communication and the ability to align people across Product, Design, Engineering and other teams.
Curiosity about customers and a willingness to get into the detail of how scheduling works, including tricky use cases and edge cases.
Experience with scheduling, workforce management or other complex operational products is a plus.
