BIMM is booming, so we’re looking for a Senior Production Designer to join our team!
Who we are
BIMM is a Toronto-based agency that lives at the intersection of data, technology, and creativity to provide clients with high-performing campaigns and digital products that shape connected customer experiences. We’ve helped our clients implement fully integrated CRM customer journeys, built robust digital experiences, and created national loyalty programs with decades of experience in sectors of automotive, financial, telco and retail.
We are creative realists, which means our ideas and solutions are grounded in the realities of our clients’ business. We believe big ideas are nothing without big results (and flawless execution); high-performing agencies deliver high-performing campaigns, products, and experiences; and the best solutions happen when we collaborate with clients as partners.
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Production Designer to join our top-notch Creative Services team in a full-time role. You’ll work alongside talented designers, production artists and motion specialists who share a high standard for craft, collaboration and quality. This is a hands-on hybrid role combining the precision of a senior production artist with strong digital design, motion graphics and animation skills. You’ll turn approved creative concepts into polished, production-ready assets across print, digital, social, signage and video.
The ideal candidate brings expert-level Adobe skills across print and digital, excellent design judgement and meticulous attention to detail. You’re comfortable building press-ready artwork, producing digital campaigns and animating content, while managing the many sizes, languages and versions required for national campaigns. You will:
- Produce and adapt approved creative across print, direct mail, retail and storefront materials, out-of-home, digital advertising, social and digital signage.
- Build accurate, press-ready artwork in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, managing bleeds, trim, colour profiles, image resolution, overprints, fonts and vendor specifications.
- Create polished digital layouts and assets with strong typography, composition and image treatment, adapting designs to different formats and platforms.
- Develop motion graphics and animations in After Effects, including typography, transitions, image animation and reusable campaign templates.
- Produce campaign versions across sizes, languages, offers and regions using approved copy and versioning matrices, maintaining consistency across every asset.
- Build organised, editable production files and reusable templates that make updates, handoffs and versioning efficient and reliable.
- Use AI and automation to support image development, adaptation, motion and repeatable production tasks, checking every output for quality and brand accuracy.
- Perform thorough QA on artwork and final exports, checking copy against approved sources, layout, version accuracy, image quality, print setup and digital or motion specifications.
- Collaborate with Creative Services, creative and account teams and production partners; flag technical issues early and manage multiple deadlines through final delivery.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of professional production and design experience, ideally within an agency, creative studio or similarly fast-paced environment.
- A strong portfolio showing expert print production, polished digital design, campaign adaptation and accomplished motion graphics or animation.
- Expert-level proficiency across Adobe Creative Cloud for print and digital, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- Strong proficiency in Figma for digital design and production, including components, auto layout, shared libraries and organised files for collaboration and handoff.
- Deep print production and prepress knowledge, including CMYK and spot colours, colour management, bleeds, trim, overprints, PDF preflight and press-ready delivery.
- Strong digital design and production skills, with experience adapting campaigns across dimensions, aspect ratios, platforms and delivery specifications.
- Strong animation skills in After Effects, including keyframes, easing, compositing, typography animation and building editable templates.
- Confident video editing skills for short-form digital and social content, with an understanding of codecs, frame rates, compression and export settings.
- Experience managing high-volume campaign versioning, with disciplined file organisation, naming, revision control and quality checks.
- Excellent typography, composition, colour and image treatment skills, with the ability to preserve creative intent across formats.
- Practical experience using AI image or video tools and automation to improve production workflows while maintaining human quality control.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot technical issues, take ownership of deliverables and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret briefs, apply feedback and collaborate with designers, account teams and production vendors.
What Makes You Stand Out
You combine a production artist’s technical rigour with a designer’s eye and an animator’s sense of timing. You care about typography, spacing, image quality, movement and how each asset works in its final environment.
You look for ways to make production more repeatable through templates, automation and thoughtful use of AI. You understand where these tools help and where hands-on craft and human review are essential.
You take pride in delivering accurate, beautifully finished work that is easy for the next person to update and ready for the intended channel.
