About NGen
NGen is Canada’s Global Innovation Cluster for Advanced Manufacturing, an industry-led, not-for-profit organization dedicated to building world-leading advanced manufacturing capabilities in Canada. NGen brings together manufacturers, technology companies, researchers, governments and other partners to accelerate innovation, strengthen Canadian supply chains, build workforce capabilities and create opportunities for Canadian companies to compete and grow.
About the Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Alliance
The Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Alliance is a national, multi-stakeholder initiative focused on strengthening the skilled workforce required by Canada’s advanced manufacturing sector. The Alliance brings together employers, labour, education and training institutions, industry associations, governments, Indigenous partners, equity-deserving groups and other stakeholders to identify workforce and skills needs and advance practical, industry-informed solutions.
The Alliance is led by NGen, the Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC), and the Canadian Skills Training and Employment Coalition (CSTEC), with funding from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). Together, the three organizations bring complementary industry and workforce perspectives to the Alliance’s work, supported by its governance bodies, Action Groups and broader stakeholder network.
