About the Assignment

The client is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a major cross-functional program addressing the EU's new Anti-Money Laundering (AML) package.

The new legislation introduces stricter requirements affecting the Register of Beneficial Owners. The assignment involves both business transformation and IT development across existing and new systems, including expanding the information held in the register, improving data quality, and implementing changes to access rules for registry information.

This is a large and complex development initiative requiring multiple parallel analyses and development activities. It involves extensive collaboration, coordination, and change management at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a large-scale program, applying service-oriented development principles from discovery and exploration through implementation.
  • Establish and manage cross-functional collaboration across IT development, architecture, legal, business development, and finance.
  • Interpret legislation and translate regulatory requirements into business and IT development initiatives.
  • Structure and visualise complex dependencies across the program, including roadmaps, delivery plans, and competency and resource requirements.
  • Prepare investigation materials and decision-making documentation, including financial follow-ups and forecasts.
  • Coordinate communication and information initiatives, ensuring complex problems, structures, and architectures are clearly explained to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments and contribute to change management activities.
  • Engage with public and private sector stakeholders to prepare them for the implementation of new legislation.
  • Identify, monitor, and actively mitigate risks.
  • Regularly report progress, issues, and deviations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the client's development of program and development governance.
  • Document activities and deliverables on behalf of the client.
  • Transfer knowledge to relevant client personnel.
  • Adapt working methods and priorities flexibly as the assignment's requirements and circumstances evolve.

Ways of Working

  • Agile, iterative, and value-driven delivery, with SAFe used as a framework and source of inspiration.
  • Service-oriented development.
  • System mapping and systems thinking.

Required Competencies

The consultant must demonstrate at least a Sufficient level of competence in relation to the assignment.

The consultant must also be able to:

  • Collaborate effectively and listen to different perspectives.
  • Work independently and take initiative.
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish.

Assignment Details

  • Location: Sundsvall, Sweden.
  • Remote Work: Up to 80% may be possible when the assignment permits. The consultant must be available to work on-site when requested by the client.
  • Extension: The client may extend the assignment, with at least three months' notice, until 30 November 2028.
