Serves as the portfolio leader for a portfolio of strategic nonprofit and community partnerships that advance Navy Federal's mission and strategic philanthropy (CSR) goals. Responsible for partnership strategy, charitable and corporate sponsorship management, performance measurement, and stakeholder engagement, this role works closely with nonprofit executives, community leaders, senior business stakeholders, and Navy Federal leadership to maximize impact, strengthen relationships, and identify opportunities for growth. The position provides significant external visibility and executive interaction while leading military appreciation and engagement efforts, including recognition programs, community activations, sponsorships, and high-profile events that honor and support service members, veterans, and military families.

  • Lead cross-functional programs that support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and business transformation
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, and resource allocations aligned with defined business goals
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure program alignment with organizational priorities and success metrics
  • Apply program governance practices, tools, and reporting standards to monitor progress and ensure accountability
  • Identify and address program risks, issues, and interdependencies across teams and functions
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure cohesive and timely program execution
  • Deliver program updates and performance insights to senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Contribute to business case development and investment planning through data analysis and scenario modeling
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and governance standards
  • Promote continuous improvement and change readiness within program teams
  • Mentor program managers and team leads to build delivery capability and leadership skills
  • Support the refinement of program delivery methodologies and enterprise best practices
  • Collaborate with enabling functions (e.g., finance, HR, operations) to support program execution and business readiness
  • Represent the program management function in cross-functional planning and capability-building initiatives
  • May perform other duties as assigned
  • 5+ years of relevant program management experience, managing programs in a cross-functional environment
  • 2+ years of experience leading multi-phase, cross-functional programs
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe, Waterfall), with the ability to lead multi-team initiatives and adapt delivery models to business needs
  • Significant experience in managing cross-functional programs that support business transformation, operational efficiency, or strategic initiatives
  • Proven ability to align program execution with organizational goals, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive measurable outcomes
  • Advanced skills in program budgeting, resource planning, and risk mitigation across multiple workstreams
  • Experience with managing program governance processes, stakeholder communications, and issue resolution
  • Expert knowledge of change management and stakeholder engagement strategies to support adoption and sustainment
  • Advanced skill in using program analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet) to monitor performance and inform leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Professional Certifications (e.g.,PMP, PgMP, or Lean/Agile certification)
  • Experience with business process transformation or organizational change management is desirable.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira) preferred.
