Senior Program Specialist, Worker Well-being | Indonesia

Location: Indonesia (preferably Jakarta, West Java or Central Java)

Work arrangement: Remote, with travel to factories

Employment: Full-time

About ESCP

The Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP) is a specialist responsible sourcing program with 20 years of experience. Originally developed for the global toy industry, our services are now used across sectors. We support businesses through supplier certification, remote social and environmental assessments, capability-building, and scalable worker well-being initiatives – helping them advance ESG objectives, mitigate labor risks, and create safer, more ethical workplaces.

The opportunity

Represent and lead ESCP’s worker well-being work in Indonesia. You will coordinate local service delivery and program implementation, build trusted relationships with factories and partners, and work closely with colleagues across ESCP’s international team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership, bring people together, and turn plans into consistent delivery.

Why join ESCP

  • Contribute directly to initiatives that support workers and their families.
  • Collaborate with an international team across Asia and Europe.
  • Work in a flexible, satellite setup with opportunities to engage directly with factories.

What you will do

  • Coordinate delivery of ESCP’s worker helpline in Indonesia, working with service providers and internal colleagues to support reliable service operations. This will include answering and responding to worker calls, maintaining accurate and confidential call logs and case records, following-up on cases and escalating sensitive or urgent issues in accordance with ESCP’s procedures.
  • Plan and manage worker well-being programs and special projects, translating agreed goals into clear work plans, timelines, activities, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate implementation with factories, brands, third-party providers, and cross-functional teams; facilitate meetings, workshops, and training to support alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor progress, identify and address delivery risks, gather feedback, respond to stakeholder questions, and communicate timely program updates.
  • Maintain accurate program records, work plans, progress and impact assessment reports, and recommend practical improvements, including suitable third-party service providers.

What you bring

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as community development, business administration, project management or counselling.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia; conversational Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate several stakeholders and activities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently in a remote role, manage priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Takes ownership of responsibilities, exercises sound judgement and communicates progress and challenges promptly.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and demonstrate leadership as the team grows.
  • Strong listening, empathy, confidentiality and accurate record-keeping skills, with the ability to handle sensitive workers’ concerns professionally.
  • A genuine interest in improving worker well-being. Experience with factories or the manufacturing industry is an advantage.
